I've read this manga in one evening and I liked it a lot.
First of all, this manga can be frustrating for people reading it until certain point, but I'd recommend to read it entirely.
Now, read at your own behalf, for there are spoilers ahead:
At first glance I thought that Kako (the female lead) would end up exposing Uina (probably the most hateful character of the series by far) and Taisei would end up with her after realizing how a bad person Uina was, but then Senpai (Sakuma Ayato, they only mention his name twice or thrice, Also the male lead) appeared and told her that
...
she could just steal him. She was freaked out by his comment and ran away (she later tells him that he was scary the first times they met). We later see that the ML is in love with the FL and that he only wants her to be happy despite she liking another person (Taisei). The ML knows how evil really is Uina and is blunt in showing how he cares about the FL happiness, bro even asks FL if she wants him to kill Uina (again, a freaking psychopath of a girl) in her place, which was somewhat scary but he later on gets better and more fleshed out as a character with his backstory being told and why he wants to make the FL character happy, again, even if it's not with him. That's the true definition of love for me: wanting the best for someone + sincerity.
After the story advances FL acknowledges that the ML is the one who cares the most about her and ends up liking him. They also make a really cute couple, glad that she didn't end with her childhood friend(which is what I thought that would happen).
The story is also about the FL growing more mature. The ML also has his dark secret. In the end it's explained why the ML wanted to make happy the FL and it was really for a really cute reason (she made his void life a better one by showing him kindness when he needed it).
It's true that the villain didn't get what she deserved (dying at this point) and that left me with a bittersweet aftertaste the first time i thought about it. However, I think she gets an appropriated closure and the Fl hits her where it would hurt her the most.
So it's a solid 9/10 for me because I wasn't expecting to see something like this. Also, real glad Ayato and Kako got together in the end, I like them so much that I didn't really mind the other couple. However, I wish they had more chapters dating, this manga could have been of much more than 12 chapters. Also ML aunt is such a good person.
