Lovecom and Saruyama both deal with a completely mismatched couple. Both couples frequently argue, but care for each other in their own ways. The overall feel of both is light hearted and very enjoyable. If you loved one, you should definitely check out the other.

The heroines of both stories give off a similar feeling - cool, distanced, yet also warm. Both are discovering true feelings and learn how to be sincer with themselfes. I enjoyed Saruyama a lot, Akuma isn't yet finished, but I hope it'll evolve in a nice love-story, too ;)

KouKou Debut and Saruyama both have the nice cozy feeling that makes you happy. Also they are both about school life and everyday storeis about the couples and their friends.

I like how both manga are really cute, refreshing and non-cliche. Also, in both manga the main character and her love interest are about the same height. Also, both manga focus more on couple growth instead of making a fuss about confessing.

Same goofy male leads with adorable female leads. Both are refreshingly good and straight forward for shoujo slice of life without too much drama.

Both heroine 'fell' from their 'throne' and became 'peasant' where they have to enrolled into a school that's beyond their expectations. But then, love happens~ :")

Both mangas have a similar ambience to them. They both focus on the growth and development of a couple in high school. The side characters are well-developed, but they don't overshadow the main couple. Both story lines are mature in the sense that the romance is realistic. Also, both mangas' male mc is completely in love with the female mc. These mangas surprised me. I thought they would just be stereotypical high school romance, but the execution of the stories made it seem realistic and sophisticated in a way.

The guy looks like a monkey and he falls in love with a girl. My Hero is where it is between a guy who is described as a monkey(for his name) and a girl who is described as a dog(for her name as well.) Although, My Hero is a oneshot. Saruyama! is a guy who looks like a monkey(acts like one too) and likes an above average looking kind of girl, and vice versa. Basically, guy is moneky, and likes girl is what made me find a similarity between these two mangas.

Both mangas revolves around the main character's school life. It's a lighthearted romance and comedy and not all too dramatic. The plot goes on from the starting of their highschool till they graduate. ZigZag concentrates more on friendship and flower arrangement (with enough dose of very cute romance), whereas Saruyama shows more of the bumpy yet touching romance between the two main characters (with help from their close friends).

Haruna and Mei remind me of each other.. They both have a calm personality, and sometimes they have the same expressions. If you really liked one of the main lead characters, then you'd like the other.

Two sweet, pure, love stories. They are both funny and the guys are both cheerful.

Karekano and Saruyama both follow the progression and development of a couple over the course of highschool. There is not much outside jealousy/rivalry in both series and both have significant family drama. Overall, karekano is more serious of a manga but saruyama and karekano share many underlying themes.

If you loved the popular Ouran High School Host Club series, than you'll definitely enjoy this manga. Both have an extremely bright heroine as the main character and opposes many of the cliches that come packaged with the shoujo series. Read it~ You won't regret it!

The two aren't extremely similar, but this still had to be said: Both series star a girl who, to some degree, cynically compare their classes to a group of monkeys and end up falling in love with the biggest monkey of all.

I think they are similar because both girls transfer from an elite school to a school that they think is crazy. There, they find themselves falling in love.

The main characters are.. similar, I suppose. They're both pretty sophisticated... I don't know. Both manga are pretty cute, though pretty different. Personally, I like Tonari a lot better, haha.
