Both deal with contemplation of simple things in life and taking pleasure by noticing them. 

Farming, nature and slice of life titles with delicate art and a lot of useful information regarding gardening and cooking! Both are charming stories about people living in the country side and interacting with nature around them. Country Diary is more focused on characters and their relationships. Little Forest is more about cooking and has a lot of neat recipes. 

They are both iyashikei, slice of life series full of peaceful, growing feelings about girls in a country town living the "small town life". Non Non Biyori is more a coming-of-age, moe/cute-girls-doing-cute-girl-things series though while Little Forest, a manga about a city girl who moves to the country to cook and live off the land, focuses on agriculture, cooking, and self discovery. It would be nice to see an anime adaptation of Little Forest.  

They are both iyashikei, slice of life series full of peaceful, growing feelings about girls/androids in a country town living the "small town life". YKK is one of the most wonderful, peaceful manga/anime series I have ever encountered. It is absolutely one of my favourites and I have watched it multiple times to remember those peaceful,contented feelings. Little Forest, a manga about a city girl who moves to the country to cook and live off the land, focuses on agriculture, cooking, and self discovery. The small town moments of it, along with the organic, get back to nature aspects really bring about the iyashikei, slice-of-life feeling that reminded me of the first time I read YKK. <3 It would be nice to see an anime adaptation of Little Forest.  read more
