I am so glad that there's an anime is based on this wonderful story
The introduction, the beginning, and the conclusion of this story is so worth it to read
Jinta
The protagonist of the series. He is a skilled swordsman raised in a remote village. After a tragic event, he embarks on a journey that intertwines with supernatural forces, demons (kijin), and historical figures. Jinta is calm, reserved, and highly disciplined, embodying the ideal of a samurai despite being an outsider to traditional clans. His swordsmanship is exceptional, making him a feared warrior among both humans and supernatural beings.

Overall a 10/10 novel that the anime is going to be based off of.
