A shocky gore manga filled with dark themes, rape, torture, violence, murder and wait for it…necrophilia depending on how you do the math. At least the male mc isn't a rapist.

The protagonist Satoru Anezaki is a 16-year-old who gets executed after he castrates and kills 15 men. These men were sex offenders who raped and killed his childhood friend Yuma, the only girl who treated him normal even though he has an over 200 IQ. Don't get too excited this is the first and only time his IQ will matter or be demonstrated aside from people saying it. After he is hanged he finds himself ... in a parallel world at his school where the sun has turned men into feral beasts that hunt women. Hold your "Oh that's subtle"s for the end. Satoru learns that his friend was never assaulted and killed in this world. So the few girls at the school after they get over the shock of a sane man, go through all the apocalyptic phases you know random fighting, hating the one sane man, begging to cling to him. Eventually the MC and a few ladies set off in pursuit of Yuma, may she be alive and well. It's an illogical plot point but it's nothing new to the zombie/apocalypse narrative but from the east and the west. They meet different packets of "safety" and the cycle goes kinda like this. Satoru gets injured and while he's healing the women try to join the local women only to find out their version of society is horrific in some manner. Maybe all the pregnant women are bearing boy children that turn out to be monsters. Maybe there's slavery. Maybe the sane men are slowly going feral.

Visually there's enough contrast which is my biggest annoyance with these violent grimdark reads. Some of them just throw blood and night all over the place till you can't make anything out. That isn't the problem here. It's serviceable. There is nudity and gore but to my recollection it never felt any more gratuitous than the base concept. The characters designs are fine. Nothing you'd cringe to show someone (this isn't "Reincarnated as a 7th Prince" or "OP at Level 1").

Narratively.. and this is going to sound stupid and obvious but I wasn't expecting it to get so political. It's not… _well_ thought out. A lot of the story comes down to female incompetence. Women can't understand rations. Women can't do electrical work. Women can't really fight off the feral men in an organized manner. Women just cower and wait. Unfortunately there's not a lot of exceptions to this. It's just some are more successful in their cowering and some have different plans for waiting. For all the talk about how men mistreated women "in the before times" aside from doing some necrolove to tied up feral men and then killing them afterwards there's not a lot of women standing up in the times of trouble. We "hear" of a military women but it would have been nice to see a few.

The pacing is alright and while it is a bit repetitive it's also too short for that to become annoying. And some of the characters are interesting like Makino who admits she has lost her humanity but fakes it not to make it but just to stay close to Satoru in order to return to his world whenever he eventually goes back.

24 chapters in I think we're rounding up to a dark ending. Maybe I'll be fussed to track down the rest of the chapters but probably not.

Where do i begin this , i started and caught up with this manga 1 or 2 years ago , the translator dropped it and by 2024 they completed the translations allowing me to finally complete it .
This is easily one of the most grimdark messed up isekais i have ever seen , not only that the ending the author pulled on us has to be one of the most nihilistic conclusions i ve ever witnessed not on the level of Paltinum end but its quite close , idk if it got cancelled but it felt too rushed . The message the author tried ... to push is deep yet pretty grimdark , felt forced a little bit and left a bad taste in my mouth ngl . This story had a lot of disturbing sexual context but by the end it was basically just added for backstory set up and choc value cuz it didnt really make that much sense with final reveals of the story . Another thing the main character had potential but his development felt rushed like the 2nd half of them manga .
In conclusion , would i recommed , hell no , was it a good read , somehwhat

This is the worst of Miyatsuki Arata’s works that I’ve ever read.

At first, I hesitated to pick this up, considering many negative reviews. However, since Miyatsuki Arata has delivered solid narratives before—like the gripping Gyakusatsu Happy End or the fairly engaging Funouhan—and even Signal-100 was a decent read for me, I thought Kyosei Tensei (Castration: Rebirth) might still have something to offer. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations.

The first chapter sets up a promising premise, but any potential is completely squandered within the first 5–10 chapters. Instead of a structured narrative, the story feels like it was written on a whim, with no clear direction ... or purpose. The plot meanders aimlessly, and each chapter somehow manages to kill off any potential it once had. By the time I reached the final chapter, I was left thinking, WTF?—it introduced something out of nowhere that had never been foreshadowed or developed throughout the story.

The characters are just as frustrating. None of them are memorable or likable, and the author introduces new ones only to kill them off almost immediately, with no apparent reasoning. The only redeeming quality of this manga is the art, which is decent at best. Even then, the character designs are bland and forgettable, likely because the series is so short and constantly introduces disposable characters.

It’s a short read, but not an enjoyable one—I wasted my afternoon on this. The so-called apocalypse setting isn’t interesting, and the story feels like it was written solely to feature excessive violence and sexual abuse (which, frankly, has been portrayed far better in other series).

Even if you're a fan of Miyatsuki Arata’s works, this one doesn’t offer much—there are far better reads out there.

Kyosei Tensei (Castration: Rebirth) had potential in the first chapter, but quickly lost direction. The story feels aimless, with new characters introduced and discarded without purpose. The writing lacks consistency, making it hard to stay engaged. While the artwork is decent, the character designs are forgettable. Even as someone who has enjoyed some of Miyatsuki Arata’s other works (Gyakusatsu Happy End, Funouhan, Signal-100), this one falls flat. Unless you're specifically looking for excessive violence and disturbing content, there are better reads out there.
