I enjoyed reading the first volume, the story sets the scene by introducing you to the Barista & Café Hachiwara, and its purpose.
The story is delivered from the perspectives of individual customers that the Barista sees, and whilst is quite a simple concept it works really well. I felt that in such a small time for each chapter, the author did a great job at giving each character a personality and a reason to be there.

I am absolutely not the type of person that writes reviews on ANYTHING manga or anime related. While I consume the art form almost exclusively at this point, nothing has made me inspired enough to spend time writing a review on it. That was until I just finished "I am a Cat Barista".
This manga is an under-appreciated gem. First off, the art is spectacular. Each character and scene is beautiful to look at and there is never hesitation or confusion in knowing what is happening in the story. Art - 8 Character - 10 Enjoyment - 10 Overall - 10 Plot There is a cat barista at a cafe only people who are down can get to. Hachi's goal is make people leave lighter than when they entered. (We are later introduced to a dog called Tama haha) This is a feel good two shot series. I loved it! It really did deliver on the warm fuzzies, and it's perfect for cat lovers.
