Synopsis

University student Jung Bareum always has her days planned. She lives her life to its fullest efficiency and carries out her aims without fail. But while her rigid lifestyle pays off, she lacks one thing: romance! When asked about relationships, Bareum uses her busy schedule as an excuse. However, once Shin Jaehyun, her handsome schoolmate, enters her life, Bareum has a chance to get on track with dating.

Bareum joins Jaehyun's small programming club spontaneously in hopes of seeing him more frequently. However, her path to achieving love is not all moonlight and roses. She crosses paths with Na Yuyeon, a fellow club member who likes online games and tends to be late to class. Just by comparing their ways of living, Bareum believes the two will not find any compatibility. But despite being polar opposites, there may lie something special underneath. How can Bareum juggle her schedule, romance, and annoyances?

PRIME SLICE OF LIFE SLOW BURN-ISH FRIENDS TO LOVERS <3 currently the favorite manhwa of all time. this manhwa is so great at having slice of life moments and characters that are relatable in their flaws and worries/thoughts + funny moments + understandable progression of relationships and feelings. what i also really love about this is that it goes into the side characters as well instead of being solely focused on bareum and yuyeon's relationship development, AND that it fleshes out the main platonic relationships between bareum/doeun and yuyeon/jaehyun!!!!!! overall just so solid in the storytelling and distinctly capturing a sizable group of characters in ...

If I were an ambassador of mangas, webtoons, and books that showcase healthy relationships, *Romance 101* would be a must-have recommendation. This was a refreshing read that left me feeling light, happy, and understood.

As we follow the story, we witness the relationship between the male and female leads develop and blossom. There’s no excessive drama, no foolish actions—just pure sympathy and care. It’s giving a bit of an enemies-to-lovers trope, but not in a simplistic, black-and-white way. Our protagonists simply needed time to understand their feelings.

I know that there are reviews of this webtoon already but I had to add mine to the bunch because of the quality of this story. Initially I wanted to score this a 9 but after some careful thinking, I will score it a 10.

This webtoon is truly one of the most realistic slice-of-life / romance stories I've read, ever and that says quite a lot since I've been reading that genre for the past 10 years. It truly highlights the struggle of balancing your university life with your personal life and finding your true love. This story is a hidden gem.
