Heyo,

It's a nice story about a guy who has problems with women (communication problems) due to boys school and etc. (kinda i weak excuse if you had a mother or went to the university). This guy decided to change his problem by renting a girlfriend i.e. FMC. This gal is quirky and when i mean quirky i mean a bundle of quirks. It's a light hearted rom-com with some drama (a minus in my opinion, it wasn't needed there).

Sadly i cannot (or not willing) to review as i usually do. This story dabbles with a hard topic about rental girlfriends and boundaries that should ... or should not be crossed.
Among japanese rampant emasculation and men becoming herbivore this service came to be. It has a rule, do not cross to the the physical element only hand holding allowed. The reality of course is a bit different, those same rental girlfriends can provide more "service" (not saying that they all do, contrary to that most don't) but it is illegal so both the client and the girl should have the same answer to the police : Date was business, sex was out of passion.....
I was happy that author did not forget to show us the downsides of rental girlfriends:
1) You can get emotionally invested which in turn will hurt you and leave you broken hearted.
2) Cucking fetishist enthusiasts will be happy but wast majority of men will feel disgusted about sharing a woman.

Lastly about the story itself, near the ending there was created a drama, in my opinion completely ridiculous one without any need. Cowardice from both sides created it and i don't appreciate cowardice from adults, were they children in school i would somehow understand it but at that age....It felt weird and disappointing.

I Would recommend it, it's an easy read. Not much drama, takes no more than 30-45 minutes (maybe less). But if you are completely intolerant to NTR or cucking vibes (they very light, almost non-existent) then you should probably think twice.

Wait, Kanojo Okarishimasu can be good?

No, but for real, this is good. Solid in every sense. Characters are endearing, the story is simple and doesn't try anything too much and, again, it does everyhing it's big brother/sister Kanojo Okarishimasu oes wrong (yes I'm saying that one could've ended in 15 chapters and be good, but we're on chapter 249 currently sooo).

I give this a solid 7/10, maybe even 8/10 (though that's because I love romcoms). Good read. I reommend if you want a laugh and a release after a day of work.

While stumbling like I do upon similar words used in titles for my MAL searches I like many probably came across this from the similarities at first glance of Kanojo, Okarishimasu (or the rental girlfriend type dynamic/trend/trope I guess) but this manga has some interesting details of it's own I find. It's not a copy cat by any means. If you are interested in a Rental Girlfriend manga with some differences I'd say give it a read.

If you don't want a character/drama around many corners that's got more drama/particular scale of they struggle to talk to women and well is more out there (Hoshino-san is ... very much your self insert or safe or quite guy type not the more levels of struggle to keep a relationship, panic and such, this manga is just focused on the day to day stuff and is very happy then balancing happy and drama)/but in a more less dramatic way I'd say pick this up.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu can be pretty particular on how it approaches drama/silly situations or tension. This manga is not like that. It's more happy, but if it has changes to characters for them to deal with then it solves them by the next chapter, not making them an arc for a few chapters with other characters. It does what it needs to with the 2 main leads and has the other 2 appear on occasion and they don't effect the main duo at all they are just there to bounce dialogue off of. I don't want to say it's safer but just more focused on the fun characters and dates/other characters then chaos happening. The rental girlfriend dynamic without it blowing up.

I put it a 7 as while it's good I don't know what else to say. It felt yes on topic, but average. I don't expect much drama but I also didn't find it that outstanding either. It was enjoyable I never hated any scenes at all. Even the bonus chapters were pretty good. Some moments are chuckle worthy or funny. I do think it could have a bit more though. Then again if a series doesn't annoy me it already gets some good high ratings in it. But it did feel lacking I just can't put my finger on it.

The last bonus chapter surprised me with the what they were doing/where they were going (they only had to go likely a few streets but it exaggerated and that was just great to see). XD Was very strange but funny I found. Others are just charming moments due to Tsukita and her liveliness/silliness/quirks. Could she be annoying, probably to some people but to me she was a lot of fun to see what she would do/say/think next.

It follows a male office worker Hoshino-san, the rental girlfriend Tsukita (not that important spoiler: her real name not her Rental Girlfriend profile name does get revealed at some point) he goes on dates with (she is very particular and she doesn't get many clients, but that's what makes her charming as a reader I found).

You have Hebihara the co-worker of Hoshino-san you see sometimes not often, finally we have Hoshino-san BFF you see also rarely that they talk about some pretty close topics Hoshino is thinking about.

Most chapters will be about Tskukita and Hoshino going on a rental date. Others Hoshino thinking something. Others with Hebihara (the one with her helping Hoshino while he's dazed is pretty enjoyable).

Tsukita has her quirks, is very happy and from going to different places, having manholes and other things to collect digital coins to walk to places for an app I vaguely remember details about.

She does change sometimes based on her other clients or what Hoshino plans but changes happen between both of them. Hoshino changes due to his experience and Tsukita is lively but at the same time understand things from her clients, the few she gets a least.

For 20 chapters I wasn't sure what to expect but it covers a fair amount of details/situations of rental girlfriend but not as extreme of drama as Kanojo, Okarishimasu. It fits more in line with they are a rental, and if they do feel something but it doesn't spiral into many other situations it's still fairly on topic.

So it goes through probably as many situations as the mangaka could think of and that's totally fine. The ending isn't anything that outstanding but it makes sense for the journey Hoshino was on. It was also clear who of the two (or if they introduced another character but they didn't who he would get with).

The Hoshino's friend and Hebihara part in a later chapter was a surprise but I won't say anything else. I'll be vague there. :)

It's an enjoyable short read of 2 volumes and 20 chapters with mostly date scenes, Hoshino adjusting to Tsukita/communication in general, some with his friend and some job scenes/his co-worker.
