Heyo,
It's a nice story about a guy who has problems with women (communication problems) due to boys school and etc. (kinda i weak excuse if you had a mother or went to the university). This guy decided to change his problem by renting a girlfriend i.e. FMC. This gal is quirky and when i mean quirky i mean a bundle of quirks. It's a light hearted rom-com with some drama (a minus in my opinion, it wasn't needed there).
Sadly i cannot (or not willing) to review as i usually do. This story dabbles with a hard topic about rental girlfriends and boundaries that should
...
or should not be crossed.
Among japanese rampant emasculation and men becoming herbivore this service came to be. It has a rule, do not cross to the the physical element only hand holding allowed. The reality of course is a bit different, those same rental girlfriends can provide more "service" (not saying that they all do, contrary to that most don't) but it is illegal so both the client and the girl should have the same answer to the police : Date was business, sex was out of passion.....
I was happy that author did not forget to show us the downsides of rental girlfriends:
1) You can get emotionally invested which in turn will hurt you and leave you broken hearted.
2) Cucking fetishist enthusiasts will be happy but wast majority of men will feel disgusted about sharing a woman.
Lastly about the story itself, near the ending there was created a drama, in my opinion completely ridiculous one without any need. Cowardice from both sides created it and i don't appreciate cowardice from adults, were they children in school i would somehow understand it but at that age....It felt weird and disappointing.
Story 7/10
Characters 7/10
Art 7/10
Enjoyment 6/10 (chapters close to the ending ruined it for me)
Overall 7/10
I Would recommend it, it's an easy read. Not much drama, takes no more than 30-45 minutes (maybe less). But if you are completely intolerant to NTR or cucking vibes (they very light, almost non-existent) then you should probably think twice.

Heyo,
First let's clear the air with demographics, MAL states seinen, MUpdates states it's shounen. Verdict: Shounen
This is based on 31 chapters so far and authors previous work experience, i feel that author tried be on border with seinen but ultimately it lacks in seinen.
Read some peoples comments on this work. They were mixed, some people were receiving it with positive outlook as if it's something interesting and different while others saw it as a standard shounen/action piece. In my opinion it's hard to tell, if it continues the same route then yes, it's a standard industry shounen/action but with a bit darker
...
theme. To be more specific shounen/(light) dark fantasy/action/adventure/comedy/?Romance?/hArEm(ughh I hope not, but we were introduced to 4 girls now already and all of them seem to be into our MC)/.
Story 7/10
If it was seinen i would rate it worser. But for shounen it's not bad, it has some of uniqueness and interesting points. Reverse transmigration, different time-line, trying to be pragmatic without excessive childish behaviour.
It has some cliche conspiracy where some "adults" play a chess game, supposed allies might be enemies, it's a mystery. Some evil organisation with quirky people with some weird agenda. Tragic backstories are probably the main point of almost every main character.
Characters 8/10
Well here is probably the best part. While cliche personalities exist, they are not over the board cliche and I sniff development which means we probably wouldn't have moronic monolithic characters as often as some other mangas have. Currently there is no loli or emotionless harem member which is already a small positive light, tsundere? Yeah maybe but not painfully domineering in her personality of "tsundere". Thus characters have a little bit more depth to them unlike some other mangas with same genres (rom/com/harem).
Art 7/10
Characters are drawn somewhat amateurishly not exactly bad but more to negative side rather than positive even though monsters are drawn quite good, so maybe specific artstyle? In any case it's a subjective matter. Panel placement and speech bubbles up to standard.
Enjoyment 5/10
I didn't enjoy it. It's purely my opinion, seen to many mangas like that.
Overall 7/10
Please read it if you aren't sick of shounen or mangas with similar genres like action/fantasy maybe rom/com/harem. Otherwise it might be a boring read but even veterans can read it just to fill up time until next great title comes.
I placed 5 on mal, due to various reasons but the main point would be because I thought it will provide something new and interesting, sadly for me it's average(MAL standard). But 5 is my personal opinion with my quirks, i think it's more like 6.5 if you disregard some prejudice towards harem/shounen mangas.

Heyo, Adding up some things in addition to Huang-Teizan.
Its plain boring....The end.
On a more serious note, it really is boring I would say it's a lousy concept taken from Ryoumin 0-nin Start no Henkyou Ryoushusama. The same strong hero sent to a remote region to find a wife there and having adopted children. It's more serious with better comedy, romance and involves actual progression. + Art is better in my opinion.
Plot 5/10
It's simply copy cat stitched together with other mangas. The first chapter showed hope at chapter 26, i see it only spiraling downwards. Like Huang-Teizan
...
told we have a broken MC but what Huang-Teizan forgot to tell you, mangakas are almost narrow mindedly moronic they like to stick broken people together and make them a "party" or a "family". Which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't like plague in manga world, they do not mix all kinds of people they mix broken people with broken people and give us a story how broken people heal each other.....Yeah as if this helps in real world practice. We don't keep mentally ill people in wards for decades for that very same reason, sick people if surrounded by sick people never truly heal or return to our mundane world.
In any case comedy is quite OKAY, but nothing mind blowing. Romance is dead fish until author is "forced" to progress, because popularity is falling. Then there is action, which is probably one of the main points of this manga (sadly).
This plot is boring, overused full of cliches. It almost infuriates me when someone becomes "married" but there is no "plot" or why couldn't they make not adopted children but real children? It's mind boggling.
I know it's shounen but still, you can tailor it for shounen public not mislead them thinking that having dysfunctional, sexless marriage with adopted children is completely fine and something to aspire. I think mangakas don't realise that any literary work leaves a mark on their reader especially young ones.
Characters 6/10
We have a mix of broken MC's with comedy sketches. They are not bad but they are overused templates. MC is emotionless, stoic and powerful. FMC is quirky, bubbly and emotional. Children..........I forgot (read it 20minutes ago, i guess me forgetting them tells us more that few sentences). In short, characters will have 2 forms, BROKEN and REPAIRED.
Art 7/10
It's quirky. MC stands out, I get the feeling as if mangaka reused or copied backgrounds and some animals and characters while MC is made solely by one person whose only mission is to draw MC and MC stands out compared to background. It's as if an amateur drawing on everything else. Whilst background can be spectacular and some characters (females, yeah...) are drawn okay others especially MC is like a lousy attempt of drawing something.
Speech bubbles and panel placement up to standard.
Enjoyment 6/10
It was a mix of boredom coupled with some anticipation for something better. Chapters are short, what I wanted to see I didn't see, it is a carbon copy of other myriad of mangas with the same concept.
Overall 6/10
If you are new to this, please enjoy, it's not bad for newcomers but for hardy veterans with over 1000 mangas behind them, it might be too boring.

Heyo,
Genre: [Webnovel]NU
Adventure Fantasy Romance Seinen Slice of Life
Genres MAL
Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Slice of Life
Based on my observation MAL was more spot on, since seinen or romance are almost non existent. Seinen in particular is the weakest point here.
A nice slow paced slice of life manga about a man who transmigrated to fantasy world with his dog who actually was a silver fenrir (one of the mightiest monsters in the world).
This manga has Light Novel and WebNovel (to date +1700chapters) translated about 550. chapter 20 of the manga is roughly chapter 89 of the WN.
...
Story 7/10
This is a preliminary scoring based on the fact that there is a lot of content but there are problems with misleading genre placement (in other web pages MAL is spot on).
Story is slow, light hearted and contains a lot of slice of life pieces without much drama if any.
Romance implied but based on WN reviewers authors going to milk that cow until he would start to lose readers. Since romance would bring a second and last breath to this story. The problem stems that it's more like edging fetish, you can grasp it but you cannot touch it. (Typical)
Seinen thing, not even a bit. It's overly positive, go lucky vibe. People are not resentful nor are they calculating. Big favors are taken as nothing much. In short it's what you expect from adults wanting to show children how adults act NOT how they actually act.
Is it bad? Not really, it was interesting to read it but as an adult I was thinking of MC as a foolish person sometimes. Acting arrogantly is of course over the board but considering his "gifts" and position he doesn't use it, and instead he is easily taken advantage of (without malice of course but any person who has an average brain power would see it as unfair trade deal). So a typical naive and foolish MC, i sometimes wonder if it some sort of japanese male deep fantasy to be exploited by everyone around them.
Characters 6/10
Cardboard cutouts sadly, overly good natured people that it is almost too painful to watch. As they say I don't feel their souls, more like puppets playing their play. Author created goodness but underneath that goodness there is ignorant malice which is frustrating to watch. Our world setting doesn't allow us to be one-sidedly good and not calculating, in order to create people that author created he would also need to create a unique world setting which would explain why people are like that.
On the other hand, manga-novel might be from the perspective of our naive MC with his rose colored glasses which would explain a lot. In our transactional world, what i saw: Duchess is taking advantage of a slightly foolish and naive traveler with platitudes and thank yous and small monetary compensation which makes him think that his favors are nothing compared to the above stated platitudes.
From objective standpoint, ducal house received a powerful guest (aka an ally or supporter in noble world). Monetary monopoly on basically infinite monetary source where they set the bar of profit. Powerful monster that is basically this kingdom's national animal. And some other favors that are not small (if told could be considered a spoiler).
Art 7/10
Nice art, nothing much can be said. It was pleasant to the eye, but somehow fashion is a mix between fantasy kingdom setting and 20th century with 17th-18th century mixed it. Speech bubbles and panel placement up to standard.
Enjoyment 7/10
A pleasant read if not for above stated problems which sometimes kick you out of immersion.
Overall 7/10
Recommend to read but do not expect much progression or action, close your eyes on some stupidity in order to have a "fluffy journey" or else you would experience the same disappointment as me.

Heyo,
ALSO BEFORE ALL THAT CHECK STEAM:I Walk Among Zombies (vol 0,1,2,3)
Here is a visual novel which manga is based upon.
Simply decided to review because of JohnTBrooke.
I didn't quite like his opinion based on 9 chapters and naive outlook on life.
In case of massive crisis sex for a favor, rape and etc. It is not only seen rarely but quite often actually. Women clinging to horrible psychopathic yet reliable men? It's not a fiction IT HAPPENS even during our peaceful times but during a crisis it's magnified. Your ever so loyal girlfriend will spread her legs to be protected OR she will die. Men
...
will become either beasts or become fertilizer. After initial crisis those "beasts" create structure and they become beasts on a leash and our society once again regains some stability.
I would agree only on one point there were many panels with actual sex involved(Like fragments of actual intercourse) but not too many to call it H-doujin since emphasis wasn't on that. Look at the prison system, some men are willingly selling themselves for protection or "goods". It is not exploration of human psyche it's a reminder to us all during hard times your moral compass might not coincide with others. Why would i help a stranger when I myself am in a bit funny situation? Why should I even stress myself for others without compensation? I have family and friends, strangers are just that, strangers. They are a risk factor, you don't know them you don't owe them anything and in crisis promises are empty words, if you can't provide you are dead weight if you can you provide with something of interest.
Let's even delve deeper, many of female oriented literary works are based on psychopathic men who seem powerful and controlling.
So his comment on power play, romantic conquest and etc. seems like you don't even have slightest grasp of what would become of your life after a major crisis. Power play WILL happen, during situation that they experience a man who can use a gun will show his "power" in some form as any person with power does EVEN during peace times, it takes discipline and training or special mentality not to do this, vast majority would exploit power. People say police are "High on power", well ordinary citizen would be even more high on power than any military or police if they held a gun in their hand and knew that there is no law or police to take them in.
Story 8/10
Quite a story. I would say a realistic uptake on a psychopathic MC be it due to his condition or prior but it didn't seem out of place (his actions). I even brooded a bit and thought would i do the same? Probably yes (not the dead lady though, too risky).
Story concentrates on zombie apocalypse, what i liked is that there was some though put in to it (unlike some zombie fictions), for example MC thought about water or electricity running out. Food expiration, this deserves another +, rarely do we see when people who seek food in zombie fiction encountering a problem with stench of food (meat, dairy and etc.). After a week or 2 many markets and warehouse would stink and rot, many of our foods would not be good for consumption.
What i found problematic is the pacing, I honestly didn't could not comprehend how many days, weeks or months were going between chapters. Sometimes it seemed like months have passed whilst the story itself it seems was going consistently.
Characters 8/10
Rare occasion to see some depth to characters. MC is a bit psychopathic, others have a plethora of depth in them and I could even see further development. There are bad natured people and good natured people. People who are given a choice, do it or don't and we actually see their decisions. You know among some friend groups (during teenage-young adult phase) there are teasing questions for example "Would you kill a person for a million or would you suck a mans d for a million" many would answer NO! But reality is that when you are given a choice do this or die many would do this rather than die and exactly that is shown here. In any case i don't see the standard manga with dumb Paragon of virtue MC and 1 dimensional idiots.
Art 8/10
Characters are well drawn, background wasn't a sloppy work. Details on many things including killing of zombies or people. Also manga is colored. Speech bubbles and panels are up to standard.
Enjoyment 9/10
Damn good thing. Enjoyed and was sad that only 24 chapters were translated to the date of my review. Eaten it in one seating. Who knows maybe things will change but currently I like where this is going. Didn't seem to have much fakeness, didn't break away my immersion with some silly stupidity.
Overall 8/10
I would recommend it to people who are OK or like dark themes since it contains blackmail, attempted rape, gore and other nasty stuff. In either case i like when authors are not tied with PG rating and are free with their work. Does above stated discourage you? Then don't read it, it's not the main thing here but it is there and it is not sugar coated.

Heyo,
Demographics shoujo my kryptonite, despite utterly hating this genre sometimes i still step on it, luckily this time it wasn't pile of dung.
Of course there are reasons for that (why it wasn't a pile of dung), but this is not important.
Story 8/10
It was brief yet satisfying read. A typical otome game setting where FMC is the main villain the whole story is taken in context of 24hours and epilogue. Pacing was good, drama was set-in before hand without authors sudden injections of drama.
What distinguishes it from all other isekai "otome" settings, is that author wasn't greedy and ended where
...
it should end, i give my respect to the people who can bow to the public gracefully without screaming THIS IS NOT THE END THERE WILL MORE ACTS.
Despite it being a shoujo it doesn't have the usual setting of reverse-harem where a girl(woman) acts like "easy" yet "pure" better yet author clearly makes a satire of the main opponent of our FMC. What's even better we don't see the usual setting of shoujo where FMC is easily swayed by another man contending for her heart (there simply wasn't anyone).
(I strongly dislike harem mangas, most shoujos despite not having a harem tag have few guys that pursue FMC's and she allows other men to say what no woman with a partner would allow to say, be touched, caressed, kissed or even having sex. Shounen or any harem manga targeted for male auditory is just the same frustrating to me so me gender equality here brothers and sisters)
Characters 7/10
Characters are well made, despite original story (otome story) where everyone seemed brain dead, the actual manga showcased that everyone understood the gravity of the situation (besides reverse-harem members they are still hard-wired to have their brains shutdown). Our main heroine isn't Mary Sue though she has knowledge and she knows how to use it, let's not forget she is Duchess.
FMC wasn't go lucky, blank space, paragon of virtue she was a woman who was scorned and acted more or less appropriately. I would even stress to say that many shoujo and josei mangas display that FMC's are people with self respect unlike many shounen and seinen MC's.
Truthfully speaking even the villains weren't so dumb (besides the fact that they were ok with sharing one women and they knew it), they just caught with their pants down i.e. no time to react.
Art 8/10
Characters are drawn well, there wasn't much goofing off nor overly shoujeisk vibe. Author also drew quite a few dresses which were quite detailed. Speech bubbles and panel placement up to standard.
Enjoyment 9/10
Good read, build up was harmonious. No sudden plastic drama injections and it wasn't over 200ch where you could cut out 70% and still the story would hold. In short entertaining, short enough not to be too short and long enough not to be too long.
Overall 8/10
I would definitely recommend it to romance - revenge genres.

Heyo,
Romance, Seinen and Slice of life?
Generally speaking a fast read which isn't so bad, mainly from FMC's perspective.
Story 8/10
Story was fine. Realistic uptake. I believed that a guy like that exists and does what he does same as FMC. People complained about the ending (some of them) but actually to me it was pretty obvious that things "started".
This story is mostly from FMC POV, thus we see a young maiden in love (love at first sight i presume). They have short exchanges during which she learns bit by bit about him. Honestly though nothing to write more there aren't many chapters.
...
Also it has shoujo-josei vibes (which is expected since authors main focus is shoujo, even their latest work presumably made for seinen is mix of shoujo and shounen).
Characters 8/10
Like i said believable characters, as if it was taken from a real life experience and placed in form of manga.
Art 8/10
Art is pleasant and doesn't have this shojo vibe (maybe mix of Josei and Seinen). FMC is a looker. Speech bubbles and panel placement is up to the standard.
Enjoyment 6/10
It was good, but short and vague. Nothing to say more the same as the story is short my thoughts are also short.
Overall 7/10
Could be 8, but honestly this work was too short to round it up to 8. I would recommend to read it since it short but nothing mind blowing. Ending is obvious despite it being open ended this is not your typical manga MC, this is a man in his 30's who will do what's needed to be done when he realizes that he wants something and he can take it.

Heyo,
Decided to read it since older female x younger male genre is my cup of tea. Sadly though age gap is too big, romance turned to something platonic (i guess editor had to intervene before it became shota ecchi manga).
Story 6/10
It's hard to evaluate it. It's a slice of life piece with fantasy elements + drama also some romance at the start which became platonic after it was nearing the risque border.
The biggest concern for me that it is a fetish manga, stoic woman aged 25 who is almost like a man and a sissy boy aged unknown but somewhere between 6-8 years old.
...
Basically speaking it was initially (first few chapters) a pedo fantasy flik that mellowed down a bit after few chapters. Other growing concern that if you change our MC's genders they fit perfectly to standart gender roles. i.e. Stoic man aged 25 takes in a girl as his apprentice........
Some people in some other webpages said something about "What if changed genders? It's outrages". Partially agreed, but boys and girls have different experience with groomers of opposite gender. Boys in general have a lesser impact, one of the main concerns might be fetish for older women, though women also can damage boys psyche if grooming is aggresive and damage might be catostrophic. For us having relationship with older women during younger years is a badge of honor luckily, so despite everything it's easier to manage. Why did I say all this? Because clearly this manga would not get released if gender roles would be reversed, it becomes too damn creepy.
Lastly I want to root apprenticeXmaster ship but age gap and apparent grooming kinda of irks me. If our MC was 14 years old and their relationship started to get a bit intimate i could go with it, but this is monstracity. I doubt that author will have the balls to make them a couple but innuendo is there........
Characters 6/10
Nothing that really strikes as awesome. 30 chapters in and basically architype of a stoic woman and a sissy boy with occasional sides who come around, do alsmot nothing and dissapear with some resurgance.
Art 8/10
Ohhh boy, art here is good. Unique monster and armor designs, let's not forget about athletic and perky female lead (Which actually is the only reason i decided to read until chapter 30). Speech bubbles and panel placement in english translation is up to standard.
Enjoyment 5/10
Mixed feelings. I want to enjoy this but ultimetely I know how this story will go and the biggest concern age gap and grooming. You read it and try to get this "fluffy" or feel good atmosphere but those 3 things are bombarding me every time. This is not a story about adopted child, this is a story about a woman who took in a boy who is like a little animal to her, with occasional sexual inuendo.
Overall 6/10
Cannot advice it for people who are fans of calm slice of lifes nor who like older female x younger male genres. Slice of life is occasionally interrupted by dramatic revealations or fights and older female x younger male is too messed up.
But i've read it in a mere 30 minutes so 1 chapter per minute, you can spare 5 minutes - 10 minutes to check it out. After initial 5 chapters grooming mellowed down though honestly it is actually worse, it's like a question why the f suddenely the direction changed (i know why objectivly but the question about story direction), it's like "Hey, i will kill you! 5 minutes later Maybe i will kill, maybe not." <-- When literally nothing happened between those 5 minutes. I.e. consitency problem which throws you of balance while reading.

A light disappointment, initial chapters captured my attention but the problem was from chapter 1 until chapter 30 the dynamic didn't change much.
Story 5/10
It's average, Rom Com Slice of life story.
I will agree there is comedy, I will agree there is slice of life but romance....Romance is a joke here.
Dynamic of drunken woman and a young lad who take care of her while she is drunk, the problem is this dynamic doesn't change from chapter 1 till the very end. Were there even any romance involved? Hard to say, fan service and erotic moments ONLY due to her drunken state...I cannot consider
...
this a romance.
To tell you the truth there were potentially 2 ships (female partners) and I would say the 2nd one would be much better probably at the very least there is genuine affection.
In short what you see in chapter 1-2 you will see throughout the manga until very end. Comedy mostly revolves around drunken state of our Female Lead and rarely the old lady making some commentary. Slice of life revolves around drunken state of female lead and lastly romance is also mixed with alcohol.
Art 7/10
The art is quite nice characters are drawn good but cast is small and places of interactions are limited but nevertheless it's pleasant to the eye. Speech bubbles and panel placement is up to standard.
Characters 4/10
There is no progression whatsoever. What you see at the beginning you see at the end excluding Male lead having some balls but actually it wasn't even mentioned that he didn't have them, he was a simp by his nature not a coward.
And once again romance>? Didn't see that there guy became interested in a drunken mess that teases him and that said drunken mess is only somehow affectionate only when she is drunken beside some points where she tried do things for him as a thank you for always cleaning her barf.......
Enjoyment 5/10
I was enjoying it but after 10 chapters nothing changed then i read that it had only 31 chapter. So every new chapter that didn't change anything here decreased my enjoyment and expectations. And the ending.....It was ok but lacking in so many ways.
Overall 5/10
Would I recommend it? Not really.
I read it because i have an inclination to romance genre and older women but other than that this manga is an epitome of mediocracy and disappointments. So it's a mixed feeling, If you are up my alley read it, if not stray away. It's a good time waster but other than that it's nothing.

Shoujo my enemy, made for girls, light poison for boys and lethal poison for men.
Take note: Romance, Drama, Shoujo, School life and far fetched comedy
Story 5/10
Considering demography and genre you have to read it with a grain of salt if your gender(age) doesn't represent shoujo.
This story is to a degree a cliché but has it's appeal. But dialogues and how story evolves is how should I put it....unrealistic in many ways. For example boys are represented like 1/3 girls 1/3 girly fantasy and 1/3 boys maybe.... Their reasoning, their interactions feel so far from reality that it's heart wrenching to read
...
for me (i've re-read it actually 1st when a teen-y.adult and now).
The story and romance well there are not a lot of fluffy moments without a drama looming right around the corner it is not easy to read and be happy about how the story evolves. You basically have drama at every step.
Prepare for a lot of Plot armor, plot holes unneeded drama and unresolved questions (Female leads actions before meeting our Male protagonist) in last chapter especially.
The last volume and chapters are completely through me off, 1st time I read and 2nd time I was pissed off. I will not spoil but will ask questions if you ever decide to read it:
1) Why did they return and decided not to interact?
1.1 Isn't it more healthy in order to remember?
1.2 what is this stupid reasoning exchange life?
2) You could have made a diary.....
2.1 You or your brother could at least tried but decided not to
3) Parents suddenly decided to leave? Why? What was the reason? Why did they come back?
3.1 How come study abroad?
3.2 Is it even okay with this condition
3.3 Can you go to uni considering that you conveniently had a problem with memory? Or just somehow specifically some memories were targeted?
LAST....Memories do not conveniently disappear like that they are foggy yes but not like a hard drive where you can clean cut it like you want.
Art 7/10
Nothing too special. Will not delve too deep but considering it's shoujo it was more normal than other shoujo mangas. Speech bubbles and panels up to standard.
Characters 8/10
9 if males were males. But development and growth somehow believable and interesting. You see how people change and learn though in a short span of time but regardless quite a trip for our cast.
Shortly speaking every character you meet was significant to the story to a degree. Main supporting cast not only helped the story of our ML FL but also had their own share of life and drama.
Enjoyment 4/10
Hard to enjoy it, those questions bothered me (above) and some other questions. The constant drama never gave me a pleasant moment to enjoy since you are constantly expecting some drama.
Overall 6/10
A pleasant read with constant bumps but nevertheless a pleasant one, no NTR or violence but a simple case of weak plot with many holes. I advice to read to read but only if you are really interested in romance mangas and ready for a bumby road it is less dreadful than rom-com harem shounen mangas.
ALSO PLease Pm if you have answers to my questions that would help me a lot.
