I know this sounds ironic but I’m genuinely reading this for the plot-
I don’t mind the other scenes either but I am just amazed at how well written their world is, and this is the first time I ever felt that way. There’s just such an interesting dark air to it, I don’t know what to call it other than surprisingly realistic? For example these vampires have health insurance systems, they have therapy and self help groups, the way completely normal things from our lives are adjusted to vampires here is just so interesting. These aren’t the fantasy creatures that live in fancy castles and ... speak like they haven’t talked to anyone in hundreds of years (even tho I like those too ofc) but instead these are “normal” people, living everyday life the way it is possible to them.
USUALLY I wouldn’t enjoy such a close cut to reality since I’m reading to avoid exactly that, but here it was a pleasant surprise. Once the story really gets started I realized that every chapter ends on angst- quite painful in some parts, but worth it in the end. The chapters break in kind of an unusual way, the next chapter doesn’t pick up where the last one ended and you tend to forget what happened just before this, but the story still connects clearly.
This might sound very confusing but all I’m trying to say is that this manga caught me in a very unexpected way and I’m deeply invested now.
Side note: I thought this was going to end on the 3rd volume? I was completely prepared for it to end there and the last chapter did sound a lot like an end, but suddenly the last page said “to be continued in volume 4”. I’ll admit I was shocked.

I got volume 1 in a physical copy, volume 2 is already out in Japan so now it's a matter of time for the English version.

Beautiful art, the story is really great, I love the little plot lines it has, the idea of vampires and immortality are very good when used to address some subjects like loss or depression (if done right), so the story is a bit sad but it also has a hopeful feeling of restart. I like everything so far, just hope no plot lines or characters gets left behind and the harder themes get further developed, is always disappointing whenever ... we see a clue in a story and the author just never gets back to it.

Overall, excited for volume 2.

Volume 1 was really good, Volume 2 was good but it ended with a big cliff hanger and then Volume 3 is where it just became trash. There is supposed to be a Volume 4 but the way Volume 3 ended ugh. It's like the author just did a complete different path to where this story was headed,
Volume 3 needs a trigger warning for human...in this case vampire trafficking, it isn't shown but it is talked about and the frustrating part is volume 2 ends with the ML - the seme being taken advantage of no rape but in Volume 3 he refuses to ... talk about anything with the uke-MC and leaves him just wondering what the heck KNOWING this guy could soon come for the MC and Rape him/kidnap him and put him in a new harem. there is no communication during the first few chapters and there isn't anymore until shortly before the MC


THE SPOILERS ARE BELOW-
gets kidnapped. The ML talks about how he was in a forced harem but doesn't want to talk about it with the MC who literally just saw the guy whose blood is in the ML kiss the ML right infront of the MC, it made the ML weak due to that vampires charm which leaves the MC confused and wanting answers yet the ML ignores the MC and lies and says nothing happened, nothing is wrong blah blah NO COMMUNICATION! So the MC runs away for the night. The ML ONLY talks about it because his friend brings him and the MC along with everyone else to a intervention/meeting. This is where the ML finally talks a bit of what happend but doesn't go into any details only that he was forced into a harem of this vampire who built a huge harem, and when the MC (the uke) asks questions as to what he was forced to do and for how long all he says is "everything and for 50 years" I get trauma but my guy it was in the 70's and you know dang well the MC is so confused and hurt yet you can't even open up a bit more knowing he is still super new to this vampire world and then what makes it worse is that it is later revealed AFTER the MC gets kidnapped, bitten and almost raped and put in a new harem ONLY after this does he tell the MC that the guy who put the ML in the harem was the one who bit the MC and that everyone knew because they smelled him. So basically the ML KNEW he was out of jail and bit the MC, KNEW he would try to start a new harem which he didn't want to talk about yet REFUSED to tell the MC and warn him as well as protect him, and only mentioned the harem because of the intervention/meeting where they talked about he was out of jail.
Not to mention after the MC gets kidnapped and the ML walks in on that bastard about to rape the MC he ONLY hits him with a motorcycle helmet and takes the MC instead of ripping apart that vampire and his excuse is "only because I can't kill you"
ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! HE was about to rape the MC (and as far as you know probably already did) and was about to put him in a hell he was in for 50 years and all he gets is hit in the head just to remove him from on top of the MC.

Then when the ML asks the MC "where did he touch you" he doesn't actually say he wasn't raped,
The thing that made me drop it was the fact that it ends with the Vampire being shown still sitting there where he was about to rape the MC, and the 2 people being revealed as the leaders and how they basically are letting that vampire walk. It looks like they erased his memories but that doesn't solve anything. The murderer, kidnapper and rapist just gets to live like nothing free and somehow has a change of heart last minute and asks to have his memories erased even though in volume 2 he was crazy and not one bit interested in giving up WHAT!?!???? How does he go from wanting to be evil and start a new harem to completely changing his mind right after kidnapping & almost raping the MC to start his new harem.
