Both series follow young adults navigating romantic relationships and the hardships that come with them. The romance and the issues faced by the characters are (for the most part) grounded in reality, which makes them believable and relatable. The importance of communication in making a relationship work is a major theme in both manga but they approach the theme from slightly different perspectives.

This is not a yaoi- but a romance manga nonetheless. I think the nature of the relationship for the main couple in cherry crush is similar to the one in honnou switch. They work through lots of difficult situations. I will say Honnou switch is more dramatized and heavy, but its also a really great read!

the dynamic between the couple is very similar. both of them are have a lead female that struggles to put her wall down, the guy is sweet but in a manly way, they can say what they want from the relationship and have a little bit of drama.

Main characters have a longer history together in both stories. Both ML:s are in love with the FL:s at the start of the series. Both have past relationships before finally getting together. Both face hardships before finally getting married. However, in Honnou Switch they get together pretty much in the beginning of the story. Honnou Switch is a smut and Kimi no Iru Machi softer romance. Kimi no Iru Machi has a lot more drama throughout the series.

Mature romance manga that are cute, yet can also be quite steamy. Both started with a one night stand that turns into something more. The chemistry between the couples are really good in both manga, relying on their trust and communication for the story progression instead of misunderstandings.
