Manga: Kaitou Saint Tail
Stellar Witch LIPS is a brand new manga that fits in well with the small magical girl kaitou/thief subgenre created by Saint Tail. The main character's secret identity is a magical girl thief (though LIPS features actual magic and Saint Tail features magician's tricks) who steals for noble reasons and is constantly chased by an ally of the police—specifically a dark-haired boy around her age that goes to the same school as her.

Stellar Witch LIPS is a refreshing throwback to classic magical girl series like Sailor Moon, as it stars a somewhat ditzy but caring blonde-haired girl who is given a magical item that transforms her into a magical girl. She has to stop this enemy who seems to be collecting human energy for their own objectives and meets a black-haired boy around her age who may or may not be on her side.

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Stellar Witch LIPS are two shoujo manga that fall into the "magical girl thief" subgenre, where the main character becomes a magical girl stealing things at night with good intentions. Unlike the progenitor of the genre, Saint Tail, the main characters of these two series use actual magic to fight the fantasy evils in their way. There is also someone racing to catch her in the act, who happens to be a classmate.
