I have read up to chapter 88, and I have to say it's a great read. A bunch of chapters felt unnecessary for me though, but maybe because it's difficult to read DeepL translated Japanese that I skimmed a lot of lines altogether and even outright failed to understand a lot of the dialogue. It's obviously not the manga's fault so I won't be docking any points for that.
If you already know the synopsis, I feel I'm not allowed to talk more on the story without spoiling anything. I can say this much though. Most mangas will always want to make you feel strongly about
...
anything. This one is an adult story. Although we've got college students as characters, pretty much everybody will go through the same dilemmas, emotions, and mistakes that happen here. This was always what I had in mind when I search for "adult" stories, this and the likes of Oregairu.
How was the execution? I can't speak of the details obviously since a lot of it is incomprehensible, but the broad strokes? Masterful. You know how people don't want to know they're being manipulated while they're being manipulated? Here, after seeing the big picture, I appreciate the necessary hoops the author thought I had to go through to find myself almost at the end of the story.
I'm not sure if the volume coming out in April will be the last, but based on the current content and momentum of everything, I'm willing to bet it'd be the closer for this series.
