This stack is a collection of BL/Boys Love/Yaoi manga (tagged with "Erotica") which are done after 1 volume and don't continue in further sequels, spin-offs or other related series. Listed here are only manga where one story fills out the entire volume. Manga with included one-shots that have nothing to do with the main story as well as collections of several short stories are excluded.

This is a list of quality BL works that avoid a lot of common unhealthy tropes in the genre.

Wholesome in this context does not necessarily mean fluffy stories devoid of drama (though there are some). A lot of these do have drama, but the point is that the relationships have a large focus on consent and are also healthy, positive influences for the characters.

All of these entries are complete and are personally recommended favorites (roughly arranged in order of enjoyment).

All works listed exhibit the following:
- Consensual, positive, non-toxic relationships
- Strong characterization and/or strong narratives
- Completed, shorter length series (most are 1-3 volumes, upper limit is 5)
- Quality art (bonus points for unique and non-stereotypical art styles)
- Manga works only
