Is it a Bird? Is it a hedgehog with a human face? I don't exactly know, but It's the cutest damn thing I've ever seen.

This a manga for pet lovers. ALL pet lovers, because this manga is about the joy of finding companionship in...something. The Titular protagonist "Kuro" gets fired from her job after an act of self-defence and finds herself struggling with the monochrome state of her reality. When She finds a mysterious critter abandoned on the streets, her world becomes full of prismatic color. If you have an animal companion in your life, you know exactly the kind of heartwarming and adorable ... whimsy that's in store for you.

The art is clean and simple (but extremely expressive), and so is the premise...and the humor is fantastic; page after page. To sum it up, if you want to read a manga about the most captivatingly kawaii creature that's ever been imagined, I recommend it highly!

This manga made me smile, laugh, cry of pure happiness and didn't fail to disapiont me. It's so cute and please if you needed a push to read this, this is your sign.

Niji to Kuro follows an 18 yr old collage student (Kuro) and her rainbow coloured heavenly parrot (Niji) on their daily adventures. While this manga is quite short which mader some parts of the story feel rushed and for me the end was a bit confusing the ovcerall plot was solid and I never caught myself bored. The characters were all loveable and relatable in their own ways. They all had their own ... characteristics and none of the characters felt like throuw aways. And not to mention the art is stunning.
Overall this maga filled the little hole in my heart with Niji and reading this manga made my day.
