Finally! A romance manga for sweaty girls like me!
It's actually really refreshing to read a manga that not only has actual romance in it, but plays with that romance in an incredibly fun and heartwarming way. The nearly tangible chemistry between our two main characters, I'm not ashamed to admit, gives me butterflies every time. This manga doesn't shy away from the "sexy" parts of exploring love, but it's never explicit or gratuitous, which is another refreshing concept to add to the list. This short, but sweet manga is in beautiful FULL COLOR!
The story found wherein isn't anything that unique, it's a standard boy-meets-girl story...set in outer space, but it's a fun ride throughout regardless. It's been done before, but there's a real charm to the art and characters; very reminiscent of classic anime from the 90s. The aesthetic and pacing of this manga is an obvious love letter to space operas of the 70s and 80s that I believe classic anime/manga fans would enjoy. I thought the chemistry between the titular Sazan & "Comet Girl" was surprisingly organic and it was always lot of fun when ... |
