The Shogakukan Manga Award (小学館漫画賞, Shōgakukan Mangashō) is one of Japan's major manga awards, sponsored by Shogakukan Publishing. It has been awarded annually for serialized manga since 1955 and features candidates from a number of publishers. Each winning work will be honored with a bronze statuette and a prize of 1 million yen (about US$9,000). Special awards are also occasionally given out for outstanding work, lifetime achievement, and so forth. Shounen Ai/Yaoi/Boys Love manga in which either the couple(s) do not have sex or it is not shown in the manga. (not just manga but I don't want to bog down the title) manga with queer relationships and minimal to no sexual content that i found likeable + felt not as fetishizing as most others A collection of romantic comedies set in high school. Compiling amazing manga which are LGBT+ focused or have some LGBT+ aspects. Basically Popular Manga that may or may not recieve an anime adaptation in the future. Manga involving different sexualities and gender identities, aside from heterosexual, lesbian, gay & cisgender. just trust me bro BL Manga that tell a rich, memorable story. Carefully curated to be easy to recommend to non-BL fans. Live-action adaptations often leave a bad impression on anyone who has read or watched the source material. Many are even quick to say that they just should never exist. But I beg to differ—these kind of shows helps us look at things in another perspective. WILL your interpretation of [manga] be different if it is acted by people? I don't want to say live-actions are good, in fact I'm still cringing most of the time, but they give fresh air at least. A list of manga where the protagonist ends up with someone different from the person they had been aiming for at the start or end up with someone unexpected. -Manga that deals with real life problems of gay people. Manga where the love interest isn’t exceedingly obvious from the get go! (So none where the title is their name, they’re the only one who gets any focus, etc!) Romance manga that I feel do something new, or have a different feeling to most romance manga! BL mangas that I consider good, that scored between 7 and 10 in my criteria. Finished manga with less than 50 chapters. |
