Uchi no Musuko wa Tabun Gay (Our Son is Probably Gay) is written from a mother's point of view who suspects that her eldest son (Hiroki) is gay, since he is very bad at hiding things.
Each chapter usually deals with Hiroki dropping hints or stumbling over words to hide his sexuality while having interactions with his mom. The mother usually either doesn't address it or goes along with it, as she does not want to push him and eventually let him come out himself once he feels comfortable with it.
The manga is rather cute and fluffy and not too serious on the topic of

Uchi no Musuko wa Tabun Gay is a very lighthearted and feel-good manga. I've enjoyed every single chapter that has been translated into English thus far.
The manga is told from the perspective of the mother of two young boys, the older of which she starts to suspect might be gay. While the title says that the son is "probably gay", it is pretty evident that he is. Each chapter focuses on a separate incident involving the son's sexuality and how his mother tries her best to support him respectfully without directly asking about it. It is very rare to find an entertaining queer manga also made ... Mar 11, 2024
From my understanding, good parents just want their kids to be happy. I may not be a parent myself as of the time of writing this review, but I do see this in my mother, who supported me and my younger brothers in whatever we wanted to accomplish as we grew up. Although she could be a little probing about it, she has also been at least somewhat supportive of our love lives, whoever we happened to like at that time. I do wonder sometimes about one thing, though; neither my brothers nor I have ever been attracted to anyone who's the same sex as

I haven't seen a proper dissection of LGBTQ issues like this. I'm so happy to have found this. Support it. It needs it. We need teaching. We need acknowledgement. We need change. This is change. This right here is beautiful! The characters are really well written, the art is simple but extremely well done, and the comedy and dialogue makes this series a hidden favorite of mine. I just randomly picked this up out of sheer boredom and I don't regret it a bit. I'm definitely gonna keep this on my radar. Thank you Okura-sensei. From the Carribean<3 Keep up the good work.

This is one of the most painfully relatable and emotionally resonant manga I’ve ever read.
“I Think Our Son Is Gay” has an adorable artstyle, a wonderfully lighthearted sense of humour, and bite-sized chapters that never overstay their welcome. But underneath the veneer of simplicity, there lies a deep understanding of the queer experience and a great deal of empathy for those on the periphery of it. I was truly surprised by the number of times this story brought me to tears, not because it’s in any way sad, but because it’s so filled with compassion and optimism. Its portrayal of being a closeted teen is hilariously ... Aug 4, 2021
I have to say, this was quite a wholesome manga with the mum knowing her son, Hiroki is in love with his best friend Daigo. It was good to see a change of direction by using a supportive mum in this situation because there’s hardly any manga out there that I’ve come across to which doesn’t talk about the parents perceptive on their kids perceptions.
Now I wouldn’t say this book is perfect because it misses the charm by trying too hard to be funny (e.g. showing Hiroki always going way over the top if his mum asks about his likes in things which relate ... Feb 21, 2023
I fell in love with this manga the moment i took it up from the shelf i bought it and i couldn't stand to not buy the next volumes.
I read them all in one day and is just so relatable. It puts the character in a lot of situations you dont really expect This is trully an wholesome manga is so fun to read and to see how Hiroki is struggling to hide the fact that he is gay but is so bad at lieing.I just want to shake the hand of the artist for creating such a best slice of life manga,10 out of 10 ... As of right now, I have read both volumes that have been translated and produced in English. I will probably continue to update as more volumes come out!
I really enjoy this series. Its refreshing and heartful. As a queer person, I love to see LGBTQ stories that are cute and fluffy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the angst and the theatrics, but sometimes I just want something cozy -- and this is just that. Though sometimes it can feel bittersweet, because sadly we don't all have Tomokos. Speaking of Tomoko, I love reading from her perspective. Rarely do you get to see this sort ... Feb 26, 2024
To be honest was a little hesitant but ultimately found it quite compelling and funny, if you just want something that you can just chill out and read and just have a laugh this is good for that you don't have to take it so seriously. It's not was im into but i will still give it a 7 due to it making me laugh and i was compelled by it. Give it a try i think you will like it no matter the genre your into. The character dynamics and the art was really good aswell i did surprisingly to me enjoy this read.
