Mixed Feelings
As someone on the asexual spectrum, I think the depiction of asexuality here is alright but nothing special.

There's nothing wrong with the character of Mine-kun himself. In fact, he was the highlight of this manga for me. The main issue I have stems from the fact that Mine is not the main character. If we had more insight into his thoughts, I imagine the depiction of his identity would feel more natural. Instead, the main character is the girl who confesses to him. At times, it felt a bit like she was romanticizing the fact that Mine was asexual. The story also treats his ...

Lookism (Manga) add
Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (265/? chp)
I really enjoyed Lookism when I first picked it up, which is what makes its current state more disappointing for me.

The first 100 or so chapters are pretty solid and introduce a very interesting body-swap scenario. The main character, who was bullied for his weight in previous years, wakes up in a completely different body, with his normal body sound asleep. Basically, people start to pay attention to him and treat him with respect because he's conventionally attractive. The manhwa covers how he makes new friends while hiding the fact that he has two bodies. It was a unique sort of slice-of-life series with its ...

I'm not a big fan of the gender-bender genre (edit: this has since changed) but I stumbled upon this manga one day and thought the synopsis sounded intriguing, so I decided "you know, why not?". And I have not regretted that decision.

Unlike the majority of gender-bender manga, Kamisama no Ekohiiki handles gender and its relationship with sexuality in quite a sensitive manner. No transphobia! Hooray, the bare minimum! But for real, this manga tackles the issue of "it's great to love someone regardless of their gender but that can't always be the case".

The plot is nothing special since the primary focus is on the ...

Haikyuu-bu!! (Manga) add
Preliminary (38/? chp)
Haikyuu-bu!! manages to have a very different style from Haikyuu!! while still maintaining the same playful tone.

It focuses more on characters besides the Karasuno High Volleyball Team and what they are like outside the court. Each chapter contains its own short story about a certain group of characters getting into dumb antics. My favorite thing about Haikyuu-bu!! is how in-character it manages to make the people taken from the main series.

If you are a Haikyuu!! fan and enjoy how the characters interact in the main series, or you simply just want more Haikyuu!! content, Haikyuu-bu!! is perfect for you.

Preliminary (44/104 chp)
Uchi no Musuko wa Tabun Gay is a very lighthearted and feel-good manga. I've enjoyed every single chapter that has been translated into English thus far.

The manga is told from the perspective of the mother of two young boys, the older of which she starts to suspect might be gay. While the title says that the son is "probably gay", it is pretty evident that he is. Each chapter focuses on a separate incident involving the son's sexuality and how his mother tries her best to support him respectfully without directly asking about it.

It is very rare to find an entertaining queer manga also made ...
