It's a simple story really, but what makes a story is the journey getting to the end. I enjoy the story more than others because it hits close to home. Growing up and being through what MC had been, it gives me a "what could have been" vibe all around.

Hoshi no furu machi isnt a very unique story but that's the thing , the mangaka made a simple story into a gem in the slice of life genre . The MC's life and his journey to find himself and his affection towards certain things in life is very heart warming and emotional .
