Synopsis

In her mind, everything Azusa Asahina does is for her idol, Chikashi "Chika" Chida of Prince 4 U. This includes getting up before sunrise to prepare for her idol's group concert by choosing the right outfit and waiting in long lines for the limited edition merchandise. Azusa's dedication ultimately pays off in the form of a lucky seat near the stage, and everything seems to be going well when a stage spotlight right above Chika crashes down.

Azusa soon wakes up just outside of Heaven, and by her side is not only God but also Chika. As it turns out, they both died after Azusa's failed attempt to save Chika. As an apology for the unintentional death sequence, God promises to reverse the pair's deaths and send them back to Earth. But not even God knows how he managed to switch the bodies of the obsessive fangirl and her idol around!

Honestly, I was going into this with high hopes because I love the author and their works so much, and while the story itself was entertaining and sweet with good comedy bits, the ending was very rushed. I was a bit disappointed because I loved volumes 1-3 but the 4th one kind of fell off. I started reading it thinking it was more that 4 volumes so when the ending was so abrupt I was just shocked. The story ends with a few loose ends and I felt pretty unsatisfied. It is a really cute read if you go into it expecting a short series ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (6/17 eps)
Thanks Kodansha Comics and Netgalley for trying out this manga by the author who did “Kiss him, not me”(loved that series so friggin much!).

While, the art was glorious, the story was sorta underwhelming like I felt I didn’t connect with the characters as much as I like and there were just too many generic tropes appearing every so often. I mean all it’s about is a over the top fan girl swapping bodies with an idol guy. It is rather lighthearted and romantic but it just wasn’t for me chief. I think I just rather deep focus ones instead of the whole lotta cliques going ...
