Protagonist are considered a 'Mob MC' which means they are trying to live a normal life even though they are jumbled up in the 'Main Story'. Protagonist isn't lawful-good natured in general but very manipulative and calculative in their actions, they choose the actions which leads to their benefits whether its morally right or wrong.

Both are isekai that will have you on the floor, dying of laughter. If you love Konosuba you'll undoubtedly love Eminence in Shadow.

Both stories revolve around a ridiculously overpowered male lead who gain a mass following through coincidence and luck. The MCs of the stories are also pretty idiotic but their followers blindly follow them thinking that they are planning multiple steps ahead, and things just always happen to work out in favor of the MC (SASUGA AINZ-SAMA).

Both MC have another personality they hide from the society and have someone who supports them.

Coincidence is king! Both series create rather hysterical scenarios around the misinterpretation of the main characters words. With fanatical fever to make sense of the MC's bullshit, the talented side characters work off what he has to say and just make things work. The world of Kage... is more direct in this kind of comedy around coincidence, but Nageki... is slowly building up the stakes.

Both are Isekai, both have strong subordinates, are similar in both goals and attitudes, funny scenes are sometimes seriously mixed

(1) Loyal subordinates for the MC (2) Subordinates interpret even the smallest actions of their liege as moves in an intricate 10000-year plan (3) Incredible luck for the MC (4) MC not very morally upright - will adopt underhanded / evil ways for their success

Both are hilarious parodies of common anime genres, with Eminence in Shadow being a parody of reincarnation isekai. Both mangas have extremely OP MCs and great action, as well as great humor built on subverting expectations.

They jusst both op and hilarious at some point, on their journey to have fun, fighting. They are both the strongest in their own world as i remember and while Cid want to get rich and live a happy life, Menas is already rich. The girls sure to be beautiful and good, i already felt for them but our mcs guess to be not interested in love?

The plot and the beginning reason are different but, want a cool, op main character that dont has any interest in love, woman or anything but still funny and hilarious. Both is dark but one is a comedy with dark things you can only know by notice small details, the other is truly dark, you can regconise without trying, specially that both of our mc is crazy af and love bad guy's blood and a mouth that can punch everyone brain

- mc likes to hide his true self - mc is op - isekai - mc doesn't want to be a hero .

Similiarity - Both mc think themselves as a mob - Both mc have so many lackey (underling) that capable takeover the world if they want to - Both mc are op as hell, but they think its just normal thing - Both story involve with "secret organization" plot - Both story also involve unknown disease that somehow both mc can cure without any effort - Both mc have organization that strongest and influential in the world Different - Kage start in school, This one start as adventure team/guild - Kage mc have cringe persona edgelord, meanwhile this one want to have relax life - Kage lackey is not possesive like Guild leader story - Kage  read more

Both are very funny manga with main characters that try to act like background characters with Yuujin having more of a focus on being the best friend character to the main hero and Kage focusing on the protagonist pretending to be a mob character to hide the fact that he leads a secret shadow organization.

It's very similar, really it's just a little too dark. I recommend Kage Jitsu after you read Rebellio, they are really similar. I'm not going to tell you where because it will contain spoilers and I hate Spoilers but I want this to make the list.

In both these mangas, the male MCs are the strongest in the world and are working behind the scenes with their comrades (most of them are girls) to ensure the world and their loved ones are safe (knowingly or not).

Are you looking for a cool MC manga recommendation, surrounded by beautiful girls, tense battles, and of course fantasy? I have a good recommendation for you, you can try Kage Jitsu or Musou Harem to fill your spare time. It's similar because some of their plots are the same and I wanted to put this on the list.

Both Manga have a fantasy setting and a MC who is a Dark Hero, A Hero from the shadow that may be stronger then the Hero themselves.

1) Both main characther died and reincarnated in a fantasy world. 2) Both main characther have talent for magic since they are child. 3) Both main character hide their true power. 4) Both main character get a cast of girl that follow them blindly. 5) Both main characther "work in the shadow".
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both stories may be a bit different but are similar in the sense that the protagonists are overpowered and their actions lead to others worshipping them despite them being oblivious to what's going on and how they are not normal at all. Although not on MAL, a similar story is "I'm not the Evil God's Lackey."
