Warikitta Kankei Desukara is a extremely real, raw, and depression riddled story about the toxic, and twisted nature of people and their motivations told through the excessively immoral relationship (the 18+ parts not the yuri)of a female teacher and a underage female student exploring their feelings and things like depression, belonging, loss, and being outcasted through heartbreaking dialogue, and expressive S*x scenes that are not there for pleasure but to show the character progressions and their most inner feeling only revealed during these intimate moments. The art is all-round incredible, the characters are so real it feels like you ... are actually reading a book, rather than a manga, and the story progresses so realistically as it hits on every note it needs to. For those looking for another thing to make their cry of feel things, this is perfect for you.


Possibly what makes the story so good, is not only the themes explored but the so very realistic and layered and complex characters that the story uses to explore these. Each character is their own character full of wrongs and rights, motivations and goals, where none of them are right, and each either develop or do not. The characters and story fall into the type of manga that does not feel like a manga but real people, and the writing skills to create such a diverse and complex characters must be commended. Many people from discussions I’ve read dislike the characters due to none of them being a perfectly moral characters, which is one of the draws as they are not supposed to be. However they aren’t like Redo of Healer characters who are bad and the scum of the earth for no reason, they are like that because they are so realistic and are complex and deep. These characters are not there because they are good, or are there to make you feel good. They are all people who cannot be forgiven and should not be forgiven.


The themes mentioned are not lightly touched upon or are brought up with a character, instead, the core of the tale explored through the characters, dialogue, and their actions. Written by someone who either has experienced or done a lot of research on these topics, the story nails each on tits head with its characters art and moments, and the overall message is not even for a page lost, as it stays true to its guns and methods. Each character brings a layer of it, and the combination and blending of them all together it makes the The theme and overall message is extremely well done, and feels so real and convincing as it may very leave a long lasting impact on how you see things. Its ending is not a happy one but a understandable and emotional one.


If you do have the slightest interest in the series, I do suggest that you do give it a shot. Its short, not dense to read, has some incredible art, and some fantastic characters and themes. Again this is not a sweet or wholesome tale to read, but real and raw, and its low score is possibly due to that, and the 18+ scenes that people misinterpret as yuri baiting.

What could i say to begin with?

Regarding the art style, it's very pretty and i enjoyed every depicted smut and romance moments of this manga, stylewise of course. The author is very talented and know how to picture reality, that's what i loved the most through the reading of it.

Storywise, it may trigger most of people due to it being illegal. Aya is 16, Kuro is 24, do you see the problem? It's not my favourite type pf relationship and to be honest, i hated this part. Why would someone depict the sexual life of a 16 yo girl with an adult? It's gross and ... ethically wrong. I would have enjoyed it if Aya was 18 or 19 and if Kuro wasn't a pedophile.

Lesbian erotica is the core appeal for this manga. The central characters are all unabashedly horny and gay. The artwork is beautiful and expressive during the intimacy scenes and the girls have model-esque hour glass proportions. That said, there are several details that may sour enjoyment of the erotica depending on your tolerance level for angsty drama.

Said problematic details include:

NTR! Everyone's favorite category. Both lead girls have potential romantic interests outside of their relationship. Sei explicitly uses Aya as a replacement for an ex lover, calling out their name during sex with her current lover. Yeah.

Forbidden love fetishization! Not simply girl girl, but teacher student. ... Aya is sixteen, Sei in her mid 20s. Sei is not at all concerned about losing her position should her relations with an underaged students be uncovered.

Insufferable characters who make bad choices one after the other with no end in sight and an avalanche of drama that builds with each concurrent chapter! There is nothing happy nor heartwarming about this story. It's about seeking a temporary distraction for deep seated insecurities, only to fall deeper into depression. About allowing yourself to be manipulated because of low self esteem. About finding short term solutions that carry long term consequences.

Much of this is in common with Kuzu no Honkai, in which you may recall the nymphomaniac sensei Akane and the lesbian relationship between Eba/Hanabi that was steeped in controversy. It stands to reason that if you like KnH you will find some value in this manga, but there are some differences that are worth noting - KnH put forth greater effort to giving the characters introspection and growth through their experiences, focusing less on the sex scenes and more on how the characters felt. This manga does the reverse in focusing on the sex first and foremost, only using the drama as a way to enhance the tension between the characters and perhaps even excite the readers preference in erotica. Similar wavelengths, different approaches and execution.

There is an attempt at character development here involving Sei and Aya - as their relationship progresses, so does the change in their attitudes. But this is more so done to amplify the erotica than to speak on any broader story themes or appeal to realism. Again - this is a sex story.

Personally, I am able to separate the art from the angst here and enjoy the work just as a piece of lesbian erotica. I understand the story as being controversial without purpose aside from triggering the reader and do my best to avoid investment into the characters. However, if you prefer the art to be in harmony with the story and do want to find attachment to characters then issues will probably arise with how contrived the drama appears to be in this manga. I think so highly of the artwork and sex scenes that it still gets a 6/10 in spite of that.

At the time of writing, there are only fifteen released chapters. I can't imagine much changing from now to the conclusion to affect this score in either direction. Feel free to pick it up if the above words have piqued your interest, or avoid it like the plague if it doesn't sound like your cup of tea.

I enjoyed reading this manga, the art is nice and the characters are both likable yet easily dislikable, I think it just depends on how you view them and the story as a whole.

For me, this is about two girls who are toxic in different ways and use each other. Aya is looking for someone, something, anything. She wants to be seen by someone
Sei is not over her first love from high school and tries to relive that through her relationship with Aya. At first it's Sei who seems in contorl of the relationship but as the series goes on, it turns more so into ... Aya. I adore the contrast between the panels of their first and last time entering the house.

I'd recommend it if you like toxic relationships or seeing shitty people be shitty but for most people I wouldn't recommend this manga.

came in wanting a "controversial" relationship and yeah thats what i got but about midway through this it starts to go downhill more and more after every single chapter. the characters make the absolute worst choices possible, some scenes made me scream out because of confusion as to why they existed and the relationships just went everywhere.

the story starts good and then it just dies. no more story. things just happen. made it sense or not.

the art was very good and those lewder scenes were nice. but art is where the good things about this manga end.

first review. ... dont usually write these as i dont think im able to think of enough words but this manga was so disgustingly bad i must write about it. dont know if this is a good enough review but dont care if it isnt ill move on from this manga.

Let's get the elephant in the room some spotlight first:
1. Aya is 16 and Kuro is 24: Clearly, some people might-, no, will find a big problem with this. I have no arguments there.
2. There are some obsessive behavior triggers in this story as well: read at your own risk.
3. There are very erotic and sexual scenes: no comment on that.

Now that we're done with those disclaimers, on to my review.

I personally think this manga is very very good.

PLOT: The author really knows how to pull you into the plot without cheesy lines or cringy storylines. I think that's one ... of the things I really enjoyed while reading. The story itself is something you can see happening in real-life (which might be a problem for some people - because of Kuro seemingly being a pedophile - more on that later) which I thought was very impressive.

ART: The art style is very well done. It's very clean and consistent. I've read quite a lot of high school-related manga and this was done very very well. I don't know what else to say when it's good hahaha.

CHARACTERS: As aforementioned, Aya is 16 years old so having a relationship with an adult, is ethically and morally wrong. As I've said I have no arguments with this. It's just that during the story, you forget that Aya is just a 16-year-old. She is not your typical teenager and clearly is way more mature than a typical girl her age. It might be due to the fact that she reads a lot. Still, the way her thoughts are processed and her actions too, and even her looks, to be honest, is clearly more of a mature individual. As another reviewer mentioned, it might have been better if the author made Aya 18 years old from the start; and I don't think that would have affected the storyline much (besides the moral and ethical aspects of it being more acceptable (?))).

But despite that, if you're into Yuri or a story about trying to heal a broken heart that turned dark from exhaustion, I recommend this story.

It's a good read.

This manga was unbelievably well written. I couldn't believe how complex and fleshed out the characters were. There are only a few people who can write like this. It was twisted, explicit and even disturbing at times. It's got heartbreak, not being able to move on, selfishness, loving, and being loved.

To the people who are like "this is illegal omg" are you the law enforcement? This manga deals with insanely complicated feelings. The writing and the characters do not have the obligation to be moral. They are DISGUSTING yes, but that's what makes them so human. Art and deep human emotions cannot be made with ... perfectly moral, model characters. Giving this manga a low score just because it was disturbing is like giving a horror movie a low score just because it was scary.
