They are similar in the sense that the chapters for both series are short and episodic. The comedy is similar and the MCs are alike. 

in both the mc loves cute things but can't really show their love openly 

Both alien want to destroy humanity and got attracted to cute creature 

Two guys who can be considered very dangerous individuals, have short breaks from their professions due to their weaknesses for animals. *The comedy in both is genuine and pure. *These two manga are incredibly easy to read. 

Two villain main characters who at the moment aren't busy with their common actions of terror, now living peacefully with other humans, learning about several things in normal humans' lives. However, their opponents are able to target them face to face! 

Both manga have rangers as "heroes" and alien invaders as "villains". The major difference is that Villain's Day Off is fluff, while Ranger Reject is action/drama. 

Similar veins of humor, although "Online Game...etc" also has romantic developments. If you're one of the many fans of Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san who wishes the boys kissed, maybe try "Online Game". (If you like Online Game but maybe wish there was less romance, try Kyuujitsu.)
