They both have main characters who undergo drastic changes in life style from the first chapter and go on to be thrust into a completely new world and meet all sorts of interesting characters. They both have great art & characters. They are both Shonens and both MC's wield blades. They are also both currently publishing (at the time of writing) popular Shonen Jump series.

Characters can regenerate their special bodies which are made specially to fight; their weapons and guns are crafted with energy, not "matter", and can transform; sci-fi setting with ever-growing mysteries unfolding about the way the world works and how The Universal Energy™ influences it.

A weak main character in the beginning, that gets strong pretty fast (even if it's just a timeskip)

Both feature Samurai in a futuristic setting. Both are by artists more well known for their other Shonen Jump Manga. With Samurai 8 being by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto and Hanazamurai no Sahara being by Yuusaku Shibata of Zipman!!

If you've been keeping up with the Boruto manga hoping to find more of what makes Kishimoto's works so special, you may find more solace in Samurai 8. Having read through a lot of Kishi's work, I think he is capable of recreating a lot of the likeable things seen in Naruto in his other series/one-shots. Fans of his or simply just Naruto/Boruto should seriously consider keeping up with Samurai 8. The chapters released so far are readily translated, available and free so it is a very accessible and an easy time to pick the series up.

If you're a fan of this Naruto-esque one shot by the series creator Masashi Kishimoto chances are you will also enjoy his highly anticipated new series Samurai 8. Both have his iconic style and make his diversity at storytelling apparent. Both also have great character designs.

If you're enough of a Kishimoto fan to have delved into his one shots such as Bench, chances are you will have a great appreciation for his latest work; Samurai 8.

Both by classic Naruto mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, both contain his iconic art style, world building and character designs. Fans enjoying Kishimoto's works would do well to delve into his one-shots such as Mario. Those who enjoy Mario should give his latest work Samurai 8 a shot.

If your love for Naruto drove you to the parody focused spin-offs yet somehow Samurai 8 has still gone under your radar, please consider picking up Kishi's latest work! It shows a lot of promise with it's art, characters & world building. It could very well be the "next naruto" and have it's own parody spin offs one day.

Fans of the Naruto series and/or Kishimoto should definitely be keeping up with his latest work being published in shonen jump; Samurai 8. It's still in it's early stage with only 2 chapters out at the time of writing, but it is simulpublished in english and those said chapters are currently available for free on the shonen jump app. Similar to Naruto this manga shows a lot of promise in terms of characters and world building, two of the strongest points of the Naruto series.
