Mixed Feelings
A lot of people seem to like this manga, but these are my honest opinions:

Story:
Very very bland. Nothing much happens, it's just about a group of friends trying to protect a little NPC with an uncanny resemblance to Aura. You have them going to different events and hanging around trying to solve the mystery (but if you watched SIGN or played the video games, this isn't much of a mystery). The big mystery of the NCP is a big disappointment as well (in my opinion of course). Again its just bland and unengaging. I had to force myself to finish the last volume.

Art:

This was, overall, a pretty enjoyable read. It was funny at all the right places, but without getting too cheesy.

Its weakest point is probably its plot. It’s very vague and doesn’t have any set goals. It also makes numerous references to previous instalments in the .hack franchise, so it can be a tad confusing if you haven’t watched .hack//SIGN or played the games. The conclusion is weak, and left me feeling mildly unsatisfied. But there is some intriguing mystery and interesting twists. The characters are great. The art is amazing, and as ...

.hack//Legend of the Twilight, the manga version, is one of the most amazing mangas I have read for a very long time! And I can compare with the anime version.

Early on, it matches the anime version but after Volume 1, the manga diverges away. And the story is amazing! I won't give away details, but it's definitely worth taking a look at, especially for .hack purists.

Character design and artwork was amazing! There are moments where the artwork turns comical (especially the pixelated moments) and it lends clarity and hilarity to those situations. Characterization was also a big plus as a the major players began to ...

I really enjoyed reading this manga, the plot is original and there are many different twists and turns to keep you hooked. The characters are easy to relate to and there are plenty of funny parts :) I loved the artwork in it and the costume designs for 'Black Rose' and 'Kite' are really colourful and unique.
The plot was a bit confusing at times, but it got easier to understand as it went on and the ending was great. It's funny, original and well worth reading!
Haven't seen the animé yet but am planning to watch it soon :)
