Probably that's not the best one-shot you can find out there... but I still recommend it, cause if you like the genre, you can enjoy 10 minutes reading this

This is one of the firsts one-shot published by Hakuri. That's not one of her best works: the story is pretty predictable, the only thing I didn't forecast was Madoka's real feelings revelation; but the story is also enjoyable, being a one-shot.

This oneshot is great for fans of horror anthology shows like Tales From the Crypt and The Twilight Zone. It tells a full story in it's short 41 pages, and ooooo boy is it a story. I can't get into too many details as anything I say would be a bit of a spoiler, BUT I feel it needs to be said that there's yandere shenanigans afoot in this story. It starts with a jaw dropper of an incident, it ends with jaw dropper of a twist, and in between is a solid road between the two. For a 10 minute read with pretty ...

It was fun. The ending didn't really make any sense, because in they were talking like there was no one lese in the room even though they were surrounded by people who probably would not just allow such a conversation. It's also strange that a character says she "expected" it to happen even though there's no way any rational person would behave the way she did. Acting all smuch about a plan that relies on the other person being insane is a bit strange. The characters were fun to read about, although they weren't very interesting. This one-shot doesn't really do anything special. It could be on the level of any early 2010's internet short story with a wacky twist, if it did *something* that made me feel anything.
It's too bare-bone and cliché to be interesting; you could argue that the "twist" at the end is trying to subvert a cliché, and that would be fair enough, if it wasn't for everything else: the characters aren't sketched out enough to be intriguing - it's true that short stories really only need the bare minimum of characterization to work, but that minimum needs to be effective.
