Once again, an average man gets intimate with a woman that eats people and has to deal with "woman that eats people" shenanigans. There are a few erotic body horror moments which are sort of all this manga has going for it. There just aren't enough to justify reading it. It's overall just meh. Besides the erotic body horror, the art is just good. The character of our MC is sort of boring. He doesn't have many personality traits and his affection towards the FMC is unnatural. The FMC is a fun character but sort of needs a more grounded character to contrast her personality.
...
Because the main characters aren't interesting, all of their interactions are also boring. Aside from the secondary female love interest, every other character can pretty much be considered a prop for the story. And she is treated more like a plot device than a character despite her actually being more interesting than the main duo. Overall it's just not an enjoyable read. The erotic eldritch horror was pretty fucking well drawn and if that's what you're looking for, this is it, but otherwise it's just a resounding disappointment.

This manga could literally only be good if the childhood friend character wins in the end. That's why my preliminary is so high. Otherwise it's just mediocre. In fact, if the chldhood friend loses then it's sort of boring because there's like a dozen other manga which have the pretty much the same characters. The art is meh. The melodrama is meh. Yuu-kun is a likeable character but his love for flowers seems a bit compartmentalized. Himari is cute but not absurdly cute. The only thing which really sets this manga apart is that there's no indication whatsoever that the MMC actually has feelings for
...
the proposed love interest. Instead, it would appear that he has more pronounced feelings for the childhood friend, which might make this an interesting drama. If nothing else, the suspense makes this actually sort of interesting.

Spoiler Warning
"I'll take two children with fucked up childhoods falling in love, breaking apart due to circumstances, and coming back together years later for 500" was my thought reading the first chapter of this manga. It has essentially the same overarching plot as Gardens of Gehenna or ByeByeBye. In a good way, a lot of it is exactly what you'd expect. If you're really thinking about it, the entire plot of the manga is immediately obvious by the end of chapter 1, and even moreso by chapter 2. The characters were cute and likeable, but not much time was given for us to know much
...
about these characters. Overall it's just a bittersweet elementary school romance done well. Rio is adorable. The art is fine, I guess? The artsyle is pretty classic seinen.
10/10. I enjoyed it. It's nothing noteworthy but it sticks to the genre immaculately and if that's what you're looking for, this is it.

"Yoarashi ni Warau" has us view its world through the eyes of a teacher enamored by her student, Yoarashi. Because the teacher views her that way, the way Yoarashi is portrayed is simply beautiful. If not for the art, and how the art supplants the story, I would say it's just okay. It's fine drama. The author is great at building up tension but awful at having believable conclusions to scenes. Often suffering from "Where the fuck are the poilce" syndrome where these outlandish revenge stories have the target of vengeance do outlandishly evil and extremely criminal acts which are simply never prosecuted or prosecuted/investigated
...
way later than it should've been.
The characters are fine. Nene Mizusawa has probably the best character in the story and should've gotten more attention narrativewise. Ogino is fine too but her entire personality can essentially be summed up with "punching bad who would do anything for her students". Every single action that she does falls into either the punching bag category or the "I would do anything for my students" category. Yoarashi is the subject of the mystery so her character is naturally more complex but if once you understand her motivations, her behavior is likewise very simplistic. I won't reveal it exactly since it's a major spoiler, but it's very simple what she wants to do, and she doesn't seem to ever, even once, do anything besides pursue that one goal. The reveal of her motivation is actually sort of disappointing in spite of its gravity because it trivializes all of her behavior. At least it was written well?
Back to art, the art is just good with nothing much to say for everyone except Yoarashi, Hoashi(very funny), and Nene. You can tell these three are major characters because their art is simply impeccable. Overall it's a very well put together manga with lots of good points. 8/10

Story: This manga follows a teacher encountering his childhood bully's daughter's bullying problem, 20 years later. This is a revenge story with some good suspense and good art. Some things like "Sensei smiles when he's lying" add to the story a lot, where the aurthor can convey that he's lying without saying directly what he's lying about or what he's thinking. What makes this manga particularly satisfying is that unlike Raul Evans where he enacts revenge, Aizawa-san simply shows people what the bad actors are like and lets society do the rest. It makes it very hard to say that they didn't deserve it beacuse
...
what happens to them is an obvious direct result of their own actions. Aizawa plays the investigator and not the vigilante and we the audience simply watch as their dirty laundry is revealed. Certain parts that make this really engaging is trying to figure out whether or not Aizawa is helping the bullies to get revenge on Shiori.
Characters: Shiori is sort of a Mary Sue. She doesn't seem to have any bad personality traits, and barely any personality at all. She serves more like a camera through which the audience can view the story, which is fine in my opinion. I would've liked to see more of a characterization of her. Aizawa does have a very strong character and very clear motivations and goals which unfold as the story unfolds. It would've been nice if he was a bit more eccentric, but he plays his role well. In a romcom, these would be dealbreakers for our protagonist and deuteragonist, but the story is really about Mystery, Suspense, and Revenge, and these character types lend themselves to the story really well. Aside from them, Mr. Suzuki has a very fun personality and it's nice to see a narcissist depicted in a way that doesn't just stop at their ego. The story shows how he views Suzuki as an extension of himself. How he magnifies how justified he is, but considers the reasons Shiori got bullied to be petty. His mindset on full display is extremely believable. Honestly, in terms of character, Mr. Suzuki's view of the world and Aizawa's view of the world are what really make the character for the story. Everyone else is just sort of meh. they could be changed a lot with roughly the same story.
Art is fine. Characters were all unique looking and few enough that it was easy to keep up with who is who, which is a major complaint I have with other manga with very diverse casts.
Overall 10/10. It does what it came to do very well and there was no point where I thought "If the author did X, the manga would've been much better"

"Koitsu, Ore no Koto Suki nano ka?!" is just yet another romcom which suffers from the curse of having 10/10 personality female main characters surrounding an incredibly boring MC. If not for the very good art, I'd have rated this much lower.
Story: There isn't really a story. It's just an assortment of escalating psuedo-romantic shenanigans which just repeatedly leave this guy thinking "This girl Likes me, doesn't she?", while the girl in question repeatedly uses non-commital signals, I guess to fuck with him? Then in the end, they say "I never saw her again" only to in the very next chapter heavily imply they
...
absolutely saw each other again because they were literally in the same class? Fuck if I know.
The art is well, very good? It's fluffy and lighthearted and meshes well with the vibe.
The characters are pretty fun. Hoshino is a bombshell characterwise. Just utterly captivating, similar to I guess Kouga? The senpai whose name I cannot spell likewise has a fun character, and honestly aften makes for more enjoyable scenes than Hoshino herself, despite being less "erotic". Our MC could be literally anyone and the story would play out the same, as long as that person isn't willing to take the step and confess his feelings.
Overall 7/10. Could've been much better but not so bad that I can say it was just meh.

Spoiler Warning(I would call it major but nothing in partcular happens in the story anyways so any spoiler is major):
Inside of "Umeko-chan wa Koishiteru"(Umeko-cain is in love) is a REALLY good manga, with really good art. The only issue is that the majority of it is just meh. It follows scary girl Umeko who is just well, a girl in love. The only problem is that her crush is terrified of her and convinced she's a ghost. This leads to some silly shenanigans as her friends who don't realize that he thinks she's a ghost try helplessly to set them up. The thing is
...
that there's so much damn clutter in the manga. It should've been 5 or 10 chapters and cut out unnecessary parts like the whole going to her friend's house bit. By chapter 10, I was already bored of the bit, and then they suddenly introduce girlfailure Andou, and do absofuckinglutely nothing with her in the broader context of the story. Aside from making it much shorter, they could've done the reveal much earlier in the story and did it like a love status quo where he learns to accept her and bonds wlith her in spite of his faers or some shit, which is hinted at in the ending. Instead, you have a boring and cliche first volume and then a 10/10 last 4 chapters making for a weird setup. where only about 7-9 chapters are any good in terms of plot.
The art is really good. The author did a great job at swapping between her as terrifying and her as a normal girl, and her as something in between. This manga would've done better with small amounts of color in her eyes, but a man can only dream. The chemistry of this manga is really cool, especially once Andou is introduced, everything picks up heavily in quality. There's a few characters which should've had more development but eh.
The pacing was actually suprisingly good for a romcom, it just shouldn't have ended where it ended.
Overall 5/10. Not terrible, but not great.

Major Spoiler Warning:
Although this WAS a fun read, it ended up being a waste of time. It seemed like the beginning of a really good manga which set itself up with a really interesting premise and interesting characters but it was handled in such a boring way. For example, Hinako appears to be a crazy person who kills people pretty flippantly and isn't really averse to seeing others die. Which is a notable personality traits and constrasts heavily with Maki's quiet and sensitive personality. This gives them some really good chemistry as their relationship seems very natural. They don't really get along well and the
...
manga doesn't really pretend like they do. Hinako sees Maki sort of like a pet and Maki is vaguely aware of this treatment. But as Maki grows to depend on her, Hinako becomes increasingly attached to Maki and takes responsibility for her, going as far as to murder for her sake.
The thing is that Maki's sensitive personality appears to fade very quickly so a lot of their chemistry that they had earlier on sort of goes away, because Maki becomes largely unresponsive to the killing. It's also just... not that funny? Other reviewers said it is supposed to be a laidback, comically gruesome comedy, but it just isn't...? It portrays as though there will be a conflict between a comically unhinged girl and her sensible friend as they come to gripes with cannibalism, and then later on, it's implied that she straight up kills her father to feed Maki?
This is just never addressed. The author basically set up a bunch of things to address and every addressed any of them, leading to a very enjoyable read that leaves a bad taste in your mouth when it's over. 7/10
The art is pretty good and lends itself well to the narrative and pretty much everything else was done right so meh.

Major Spoiler Warnings.
For the first 16 chapters, this manga is peak. It has really good art, like really good artwork, on par with psychological anime known for their eldritch elements such as "The summer Hikaru died", or "August 9th, I Will Be Eaten by You". The narrative is really well done and we get a really believable depicton of a family man's fall from grace. Lots of other tragic manga depict characters who are suffering from EXTREME amounts of abuse, to the point that it's a little ridiculous and hard to take seriously. This manga does not do that. His living situation is extremely
...
mild, and in spite of that, it's extremely believable that he fell so far. The depiction of his attraction to Shiina is very realistic. His reluctance to sleep with Shiina is well done and doesn't come across as gimicky. The pacing is good, there's the right amount of art. The characters have great chemistry. Every single thing about this manga is done perfectly, and then we get to the last chapter.
The only problem is that mangaka have this overarching problem where they are willing to compromise on the narrative direction of the story just for the sake of the "message". It would've made perfect sense if the MMC and FMC stayed together, given their relatoinship, and the fact that they were living together, and all that. We get no indication whatsoever that the wife wants anything to do with him. In fact, it seems like she doesn't really like him, and trying to squeeze a little character arc for her into the last chapter ultimately ruined the manga's ending. I guess the message was supposed to be that bad people have bad things happen to them? Even though we get every indication that there is a perfect storm for the MMC to pull his life together and raise his daughter. And then, it's implied that FMC will abort the baby because she sees how she is only wanting the baby for herself, just like her mother. But then we cut to her having the baby anyways? It's super anticlimatic and spits in the face of the entire plot before that point.
There's also nothing meaningful in the last chapter. We don't learn more about any of the characters except the mother. But she wasn't treated as important whatsoever so it's just forced. Our protagonist could've been literally anyone, beacuse we don't get to see the unique facets of his personality which are showcased throughout the story up to that point. We don't see any unique aspects from Shiina except that she's a not necessarily a bad mom, I guess?
If your tragic ending makes no sense up until the ending, then it's just a bad tragic ending. For that I'll rate this a 9/10, because aside from the abysmal ending which unironically would've been better if they axed it at chapter 16, it was a really good manga.

"The boy wants to kiss" is just as ridiculous as it sounds. And yet, it's a heartwarming and beautiful story, covering a clash between our protagonist's "goal" of kissing angelina jolie which he has devoted himself to, and his schoolmate who obviously has the hots for him trying to drag him back down to earth. It deals with themes of loss, trauma, disassociation, etc. This was a really fun read. The plot makes perfect sense, the characters have good chemistry, and the characters have good personalities, and the topic/message of the manga is sensible. It is overall just a *really* good oneshot.
