It appears that no one else has written a review for this manga, so I figured that I should add my two cents. Roxy Gets Serious is a manga written and illustrated by Shouko Iwami, who has written a handful of moe manga. Her background is very evident in the art style of the manga, especially when compared to the original character designs by Sirotaka. The art is cutesy and not extremely detailed, but it works for the story.
The plot itself is somewhat underwhelming but not necessarily bad. It details Roxy's life from her days in the Migurd village up until she attends the Ranoa ... Magic Academy. However, the story reads more like a slice of life manga rather than a coming of age story. We do learn of Roxy's growth as an adventurer and mage, but most of the conflicts presented in the story are ultimately minor. There is a strong emphasis on the more quirky elements of Roxy's personality like her fascination with sweets.
Although the manga is still enjoyable, I would have preferred a more consequential story. Roxy Gets Serious attempts to highlight the discrimination that the demon race faces, but it is typically used as a plot device and nothing more. I know that my review so far sounds very negative, but I honestly kind of liked this manga. I just think it had the potential to be so much more. It doesn't compare to the original story, but I love seeing my favorite girl in action.

P.S. If you are starting this series right after the anime, then you should skip the first page of Chapter 1. It reveals character spoilers that wouldn't be known until about halfway through the series.

Roxy gets serious manga depicts Roxy’s back story before she met Rudy. As my favorite character of all time, it is really enjoyable to read her story as I can know more about her after finishing the main Mushoku Tensei novel. In this manga you can see a different side of her, being naive, arrogant and stubborn sometimes, and how she live her life with full of troubles and discrimination. If you ever consider reading this manga, be aware of the potential spoilers from the main novel, it is advisable to at least read up to light novel volume 13 before you start reading this ... manga.

The art of the manga is more towards cute style and Roxy looks more younger in the story. Honestly I prefer her to be drawn like the one illustrated in the novel because reading this manga always gives me a thought that Roxy is still a child lol. The pace of the story is relatively fast, I am not sure whether this is normal but I feel that the story can be written and drawn in a more detailed way, like illustrating a certain scene more and putting more effort in depicting the emotional aspects of the characters in particular scenarios.

Overall it is good. It is recommended to give it a read if you like Roxy too. At the time of writing this, I had read up to the scene where Roxy is mastering her healing magic. Looking forward to the future development!
