Synopsis

Yuki finds himself reincarnated as a demon lord in another world, and he's been put in charge of a dungeon to boot! Once Yuki accepts that his fate hinges on the dungeon's survival in a world where powerful monsters roam free and danger lurks at every corner, he begins gathering allies and bolstering his defenses. Within a few days, he takes on a legendary dragon, an adorable pet slime, and a vampire girl, but despite all his precautions, life as a demon lord in a dungeon constantly under threat...is surprisingly mellow?

Of course, with such a colorful cast of characters (and possibly more on their way), Yuki's bound to wind up in some trouble. Will he be able to pull off a reckless rescue mission? And how will he and his monster girls survive an invasion by a hostile human kingdom?!

Classic weak to op mc but the progress is explained decently and enjoyable. Classic op monster girl main girl but her and the mc both have fun personalities and their romance is much better and faster than most. I would give the series a 9 if the main girl didn't not show up for 20 recent chapters with a lame "surprise" reason that is only revealed afterwards, also all the characters only ever wear one thing which is quite disappointing.
The main couple is the best part and I'm quite sure that peaked a while ago since the (weak)harem part is happening now on top ...

Well, as far as the isekai genre goes, this one is actually pretty okay. Despite the subpar MAL score, any fan of the genre should probably give it a shot. I'll shorten Maou ni Natta node, Dungeon Tsukutte Jingai Musume to Honobono suru to Dungeon Isekai for the sake of this review.

STORY
Dungeon Isekai started off like a typical isekai does. The protagonist wakes up in another world and starts anew.
What I did like about Dungeon Isekai was that, while it had a unique aspect (guy wakes up as a Demon Lord), it doesn't try to force it onto you. Often times, isekais constantly ... remind you that "the MC is just a powerless dude so what he's doing is amazing" or "the MC has these OP skills that make him super cool."
Compared to these, the premise of Dungeon Isekai is pretty normal. The dude wakes up, thanks the dungeon core for giving him another shot at life, and pretty much just wanders around and picks up a few monster waifus here and there.
It's nothing serious, the plot is evenly paced, and it's got enough slice-of-life elements to be enjoyable while still maintaining the otherworldly feel. I hope action's not going to be a main focus of this manga, because that's the only part that genuinely just sucks.

CHARACTERS
Under scrutiny, this is where most half-assed stories begin to show some cracks, and Dungeon Isekai is no exception.
There's the main character, who's kind of a geek and an overall decent guy. He makes video game references (e.g. Minecraft, Dark Souls), does whatever he wants instead of bitching about morals all the time, and treats his monster waifus more like a family than a harem. In a word, he's pretty normal.
The dragon girl is a classic himedere. She acts haughty often, but isn't unbearable or annoying, and has her childish moments. The romance isn't forced, so to speak, but it doesn't seem like she'll get any development soon.
The vampire loli is a vampire loli. Typical little sister trope. One-dimensional and cute. That's it.
There's also a dog and a slime. One is supposedly a god and the other is just a low-level slime. They're both treated like pets, and they serve to bring out the loli's cuteness, nothing more.
We haven't seen too much of the two maids yet, and we probably won't.
The hero seems to be a fairly generic "ditsy girl," hopefully she gets some development later.
The villains are set up pretty badly and the fights are pretty generic "good guy vs bad guy" beatdowns. It's not like we see them being "bad," either - it's just that they are proclaimed to be evil and that's pretty much the extent of their character.

ART
It's nothing special, looks pretty okay, gets a little choppy at times but is consistent overall. It does well at bringing out the characters' emotions, but don't expect too much from the action scenes.

ENJOYMENT
It's a time killer. Nothing really special about it, but that's part of its charm. With so many isekai desperately trying to be new or quirky in some way, it's almost weirdly refreshing to see someone doing the complete opposite.

Completely forgettable trash isekai.

Dude wakes up and is a god from the first chapter. He then gets his pack of harem girls in the second chapter. No story whatsoever. Every joke is copy and pasted from every other isekai. The entire plot consists of him buying food and feeding his harem. MC has zero character development or backstory. Dude has literally no personality. How can the reader possibly empathize with the MC when he is a plank of wood? The only conflict here is that hes too powerful or doesn't understand how powerful he is. If there's no humor, no drama, no story, then what ...
