Sometimes you come across a manga which looks boring but once you pick it up, you can't put it down. JK to Sutego no Akachan is something like that.
With a story that speaks of the cruel reality of the highschoolers and human relationships, I think this is one manga which most people will find interesting to read. Specially the human relationship part. The mangaka has done an excellent job with it.
The characters are great, some of them appear too real for a manga. You'll sympathize with some of them, love them and also want to strangle them(the villain guy duh).

JK to Sutego no Akachan Review. Mostly Medicore but has some heart here and there.
The series is about a girl (FMC2) who abandons a baby under a bridge because she doesn't have the heart to kill it. FMC picks up FMC2's baby and decides to raise it till she can find her parents. Originally she did intend to give him to the police but she got a mean letter in her locker which basically a plot point which results in her keeping the baby till the climax of the series happens. I was prepared to cry my eyes out by the start of story. But I did not have the chance. The premise was somehow unique, but it progressed to a predictable plot that I really just zoomed through the last volume.
I did not feel that the characters developed from the first chapter, it felt like they were already the way they are, and that it was just not given the screentime. The author did intend to have this only as a short story (although 3 volumes is also relatively short). It still felt that it was rushed, especially in the last volume where everything just keeps ... |
