If you really loved the dark vibe of Chainsaw Man and also read Jujutsu Kaisen, then you're going to love this manga. These 3 manga's are known as the dark trio of shounen, and as this is the 3rd member you understand where it's going. My favorite part of Jigokuraku is the cast, they make the story inteesting and the best reason to keep reading.

Jigokuraku shares the same vibe of dangerous, murderous atmosphere found in HxH's hunter exam arc. Both also share the same kind of aura/energy source. Mystery island, crazy murderers, supernatural strength and environment, dark past stories, the list goes on.

-Dark shounen trio CSM, JJK, JGKK >Both main characters are being forced into unwanted situation >Both are action packed and with darker horror gory vibe >Both have great artstyles, and characters <jjk is in modern era, other one isnt personal comment=> read few chapters, i bet it wont dissapoint just a bit similiar to HxH Chimera Arc tho

Great art, very kinetic action. Mix of comedy, action with horror, Jigokuraku leaning more horror, Dandadan more comedy. Weird sense of humor, it must be the Fujimoto brand. Creators worked together as Tatsuki Fujimoto's assistants on Fire Punch. Yukinobo Tatsu was assistant on Jigokuraku.

Violent sword fighting manga with well drawn fight scenes. Both have similar types of large monster/demon creatures that the characters fight against and have similar systems of humans gaining power by sacrificing their humanity.

feels similiar in most ways if we only count the last arcs of kimetsu no yaiba ofc

both mangas revolve around martial artists and feature a lot of fighting with swords and other weapons. the art is amazing in both, and the fighting is portraied perfectly. gamaran is more straightforward and simple, while jigokuraku has a more comlex and intricate storyline; overall two amazing reads!

Both are adventures into an unknown place that isn't recorded by maps. Additionally, the inhabitants of that unknown place are seemingly immortal and many unprepared adventurers lose their lives when encountering them. Both take place in the past but Jigokuraku takes place in Japan and Youhei to Shousetsuka takes place in an alternate United States.

JJBA Battle Tendency and Jigokuraku are similar in many ways, such as setting, theme where as I would have to agree that both Protagonist's personalities are different. But I can assure that If you liked Battle Tendency then You will definitely like Jigokuraku.

Both are shounen battle series that employ large casts of characters (Gotei 13 and Yamada Asaemon clan) that are all unique and distinct from one another. Jigokuraku feels like a more refined version of Bleach's Soul Society arc. Both series have great female characters. Jigokuraku makes a lot of surface level references to Bleach. Both have simple, chad MCs. In both series, battles are fought with swords, tools, and power systems. I liked how Bleach has a contrast with life and death, and Jigokuraku has a contrast with Yin and Yang.

both manga depict characters adventuring into a dangerous lands which is clouded in mystery and the unknown, with environments which produce dangerous forces to antagonize the main protagonists

The plot of Jigokuraku is basically: - Island Survival Berserk style -> with monsters/demons, a well driven set of characters, etc; - Well placed comedy and heartful moments - Good art

fujimoto sensei's first manga series fire punch in a sense in similar to yuji kaku's jigokuraku as both has a dark setting which is very uncommon in the shonen genre. Though jigokuraku is plot driven whereas fire punch is very much a character driven story. Hope people enjoy reading both(PS: though some may not enjoy fire punch, lol)

The era is set at historical settings. Both male protagonists shows similarities, both of them are assassins that possess great skills and their level of savageness in killing are almost equal to one another.

For readers who like shounen with darker imagery and horror elements. The appeal to both series lies in gradually discovering their many secrets through the eyes of a disorderly group of main characters coming to terms with ideas beyond human understanding.
reportRecommended by Papa_Gen
Both series are set in an "island"/ "paradise" outside of the normal inhabited world. The characters are split into different groups and encounter weird non human creatures.

If you are looking out for a new shounen, with ninjas, samurai, fights with some supernatural techniques here is one recomendation. Note that, the plotline about is different in each manga, but the scenario concept is really similar.
