(TL;DR at the end)
If you're going into this manga expecting an actual story I recommend you not read this. This manga has little to no story actually present (which doesn't really subtract from the manga itself.) It's mostly about these two characters and their wholesome and "not sexual" interactions. The few characters that are present are interesting and make you want to know more about them. Honestly, it's a fairly good manga to just relax and spend a weekend reading.
TL;DR It is a pretty good manga if you're looking for just wholesomeness, not so good if you're looking for an actual story.

- Has long stretches of wholesome cuteness with character development dotted throughout. The newer chapters even added some big plot points and character developments.
- The art is super cute and fits the premise well, Rimukoro-san's style is very pleasing to the eyes. - Characters aren't as deep as the ocean but aren't shallow either, you get back story sometimes but it's not the focal point of the series, it exists if you look for it. - This manga gives me life, i REALLY enjoy it! TL:DR: Overall i give it a 9... 1 point deduction for somewhat lacking character backstory, not that that's what you're reading this for. This ... Aug 30, 2020
Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san is about the depressing life of a company employee and how it gets better after he meets a kitsune called Senko. It's a sweet and wholesome story about the relationship that forms between the two main characters and how it gets stronger and stronger over time. Keep reading for a more detailed examination of the manga.
STORY: 8 At the beginning there wasn't a real plot, it was just a collection of events put into chapters but as time passed the author left some hints about the motives that caused Senko to meet Nakano (MC) and within the last few chapters the story ... Jul 25, 2022
I'm confused as to how to rate this. I've never rated a manga. It is not even finished, it is already almost at chapter 90 and going.
I'll figure out how to organize this review as I keep reading more volumes. VOLUME 1 First 7 (+ 0.5) chapters. I love the idea. Volumes are incredibly short, though. The art is a little amateurish, but I guess most mangas are like that. Not the characters nor the story are developed to a substantial extent, but it's so blatant that the whole point of all of it is simply the roles of the characters and the easing of modern age's ... The manga's artistic style is fine, but if I had to choose between the manga and the anime...
I would pick the anime's style over the manga on the account of how much cleaner it looks. Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san is NOT a manga or anime I would recommend. Why? Because there is an extremely problematic element regarding Nakano and Senko's relationship and (by extension) most of the relationships in this story with exception to maybe his friendship with Koenji: pedophilia. You can tell me over and over again until you're blue in the face that Senko is 800+ years old and when it comes to the culture ... |
