Both are a reverse isekai action/mystery where a reincarnated MC has to find members of his former world and unravel a big conspiracy. 

Both series have necromancers and summoning dead person into a body. Also gore, action and fantasy is available. 

do you genre deconstruction? do you like gore, psychology, and a sense of dark humor in your stories? and most importantly, did you like fire punch? because believe when I say that dead mount death play does all of those and sometimes even over fire punches fire punch in some of its aspects! 

Good and clean artwork, enjoyable fights and amazing worldbuild and adventure development. The two stories are set in the present days, but they are very far one from each other. Despite this, both mangas focus more on the mistery and on the adventurs part, developing a whole world around the protagonists and carring them along different encounters and plot-twists. There are many secondary characters and factions and you have the feeling theat meanwhile you follow the fights and adventures of the protagonists, the whole world goes on and interacts with the main history in its own authonomous way, not as a secondary element Furthermore the artwork is really clear and curate and the fights are enjoyable read more 

Both stories have the main character wake up in an unfamiliar body. DMDP is relatively new right now, but just like JoJolion, a member of the protagonist's "family" appears to be a part of a big conspiracy. 

-Both are senin manga with gore elements. -Both involved killing/murder/assassination as JOB -Both have mystery element where they are trying to solve it -Both have similar detailed action sequences -Both involves soul of someone else reincarnated into other -Both occurs in modern world -Both have fantasy element i.e magic Story telling is also similar as in tones of characters are introduced and it's hard to follow the around.  

While Dead Mount has a skeletal fantasy world antagonist type tossed into the real world, Overlord has a real world character placed into a fantasy setting as a bony antagonist. The series remind me of each other how despite the vastly different settings because the leads do brutal things with their abilities while also accomplishing much good. 

Both of these manga have a story of a necromancer with unfortunate background and circumstances, and the spirit of this necromancer has traveled to a different body. 

Both of these series are about a misunderstood necromancer who finds himself in a bad company. While Overlord is isekai, Dead Mount Death Play is reverse isekai. 

Both have a young kid joining a detective agency for dealing with the supernatural stuff.
