First of all, a short summary of what the story is about: the adventures of a girl who's afraid of animals after she joins the Breakwater Club, which consists in fishing and other similar activities.
If you enjoy fishing I highly recommend you read this manga, as it's very informative on the techniques used in various types of fishing as well as on the tools needed, but don't get discouraged if you know nothing about fishing, it's still worth a shot and you might pick interest in doing it yourself.
STORY: 8
As for the moment it's an episodic manga, in which you can see the growth of
...
every character and their relationships as you keep reading it. In general the story is that of a slice of life manga with well-executed comedy elements throughout, but it doesn't stop at that. As I already said, it's very detailed about fishing but it's also about problems connected to it, i.e. fishing laws and pollution caused by careless fishermen. It tries to spread awareness about it and it adresses the fact that it is a real problem that should be tackled accordingly.
ART: 8
The artwork is very fitting for the type of manga; it's realistic when it comes to the wildlife and it has a great touch to better the comedic gags. Overall, it helps making the manga more enjoyable to read.
CHARACTERS: 9
The characters individually are well designed and with good backstories (those who have it), but what I think is great about them is how harmoniously they work together in the manga. Their interactions feel natural and they add a touch of familiarity throughout the story.
ENJOYMENT: 10
Personally, I really enjoy it as I really like both fishing and the relaxing vibes of comedy/slice of life manga so this is exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to get more of this, overall it has been a great experience.
