It's really a shame that I only recently found out there was a prequel to Satsuriku no Tenshi, because I think the anime and manga are top notch. Even though there aren't that many chapters yet, it was still a huge pleasure to dive back into the world of „Angels“.

The story of Angels of Death Episode 0 focusses on Danny and how he becomes involved in Gray's experiment.
Whilst working as a prison counsellor, Danny works alongside Cathy and Lucy whilst searching for eyes that appeal to him. On the suggestion of one of the more unusual inmates, Danny meets with Father Gray and ... accepts his offer to become an Angel.
Danny then helps Grey by seeking out other people to become Angels in Gray's experiment, introducing new characters that were never mentioned in the main show.

Episode 0, in contrast to the main series, does a very good job of developing the characters, because it also explores the thoughts and feelings of the "side characters" and you can see what drove them to support Gray in his crazy experiment. In addition, the drawings are very detailed and this makes the emotions very believable.

I would recommend any Angels of Death fan, whether it be the game or the anime, to read this manga, as it really is very well done and helps put together some of the missing pieces of the puzzle.
