Out of all the music genre manga, Ao no Orchestra is one of the best I have read so far.
Ao no Orchestra is a story that revolves around the main character, Aono who is a violinist prodigy. However, due to family circumstances, he quits playing the violin.
Aono meets Akine who reignites his passion for music and violin. Both join a high school orchestra where they display their talents and hard work.
As you continue to read, the drama just gets better. The story's drama and music makes the manga more amazing. I read this for the music, but stayed for the drama. Its actually

It’s my first review so....
Anyways in overall if you liked shigatsu wa kimo no uso, then you would probably like it. Also goes for whoever that likes music anime/manga. The plots somewhat different and similar at the same time. For example both protagonists start out as a character who quitted whatever they were playing(arima- piano, aono- violin) Also I think ao no orchestra has more interactions with more characters, so you can also see experiences of other characters not just the main protagonist It’s a pretty good manga. I would recommend it. The art is really good too. Depending on the situation, the art is either rough ... Aug 1, 2019
This manga is fine, but it is not propulsive dramatically. we don't know well what motivates the mc, he kind of just goes with the flow of the story. he does not make decisions, so the story just passes by. there is nothing major to resolve, so it just goes forward, burning through so many setups with no real development or payoff.
The art is fine, i wish the writing allowed for more expressive scenes, there is talent in the art side that i'd want to see expanded upon. Overall, this manga is fine. not the worst read, but it just seems like there are many squandered ... Feb 13, 2020
At the first 5 or 7 chapter I feel that this manga is just "meh." I mean I thought that this will be a "Your lie in April" wannabe you know some emo musicians, but it surprise me that it took a different course. It is like when you read sports manga and you were glad that it focuses more on sports rather than romance, this is what I'm feeling! Plus the characters, although some of them starts to be like a weak character(I mean their appeal), they all grow. So far the 21 chapters have build enough. The art is good and damn! If

A music series fused with high school drama reminiscence of Hibike Euphonium.
In terms of visuals, the series is in no way lacking. It is able to depict musicality through dynamic poses, character reactions, and illustration. It also has a very unique paneling. Each page feels like a collage of scenes stacked on top of each other to highlight little details of the settings and character reactions. You will see however that the art style and gorgeous character design are what carry this manga. In terms of story, it is mostly a cliche high school drama. Very tropey and lacks originality. And in terms of character, the ... |
