The female lead is very studious and falls in love unexpectedly; they have a somewhat similar character. The male lead does things unexpectedly that surprises the female lead developing a cute & romantic relation ship. These two mangas have very similar genres and gives a very comedic feeling.

High school girls who have problems with love due to their serious/angry faces end up in a student x teacher relationship. Chocolate Cosmos is more light-hearted, and Kinkyori Renai isn't complete yet.

It's the same author (Mikimoto Rin) and there's also a special chapter for Kinkyori Renai featured in the first volume of Kyou no Kira-kun. ^^ There's also a cute female protagonist whow can't show her emotions very well to others, though the one in Kinkyori Renai is a top student, while in Kyou no Kira-kun, the girl is an outsider at first. In both works, there's a love rival from before the male protagonist and the heroine met.

Teacher - student relationship in both Kinkyori Renai and Hirunaka no Ryuusei. Plus, the sensei from Hirunaka no Ryuusei is quite similar to the sensei from Kinkyori Renai! Both are adorable and heart-warming stories :)

Although the plot is quite different as Kinkyori is Teacher-Student relationship while Ao Haru Ride is between classmates/childhood classmate. The Female Lead Uri kind of reminds me of Futuba in Ao Haru Ride. Both are refreshing characters and not the typical shoujo girls. They are both strong, bright, funny, dependable and outright straight forward. Uri reminds me of Futuba when they are embarrassed the expressions they make are so similar and they shrink bodies and faces at times almost the same. They are both crybabies and with solid friends nearby supporting them. Of course there has to be the rival love from the past of  read more

Both mangas involve eye-cathcing cool beauties with underdeveloped emotional side. Both of the plots are dedicated to a story of these girls emotional growth and maturing with the help of their friends, love partners and sticky situations.

The atmosphere and the story between these two manga are VERY different, but both of these student/teacher relationship manga are probably the most enjoyable and most well-written ones I've read so far. Just really hoping to put it out there for other people looking for more of these types of romances to give either one a go.
