Mitsumei is a bit of a hidden gem. I’m so glad that I randomly found this manga because I’ve never heard any mention of it, but it’s a marvelous story. It is a tale of two close friends who were in military academy together only to be separated and reunite years later on opposite sides of the sociopolitical spectrum. Ivan is a spy for the army and assigned a perilous mission to get close to Ed, who now works for the mafia.
The manga takes place in Russia and as you can see from the cover image, snow is a common motif. It really is a

fitting cover because Ivan and Ed are drawn towards the warmth of one another as they have not had the easiest lives and have been exposed to the coldness of the world through their experiences.
The art style is superb and looks very pretty. The way that Ivan and Ed are drawn makes them appear strikingly handsome. Ivan in his military uniform and Ed in his fur coat are total eye candy. They make such a beautiful couple, my eyes have been blessed.
Though the manga is comprised of 3 chapters, each chapter tends to be on the longer side. I savored every single moment and it left me wanting more (in a good way).
