The show differ slightly in tone but the synopsis is similar. Both female leads use other means of communication to convey thoughts. The location of occuring events are related to school and the comedic relief brought forth is depicted through similar means. The manga share a similar sense of fluffiness and the evident chemistry between the two main characters. The side characters are highlighted and become the center of attention, ensuring development for more characters. On the flip side, Senryuu Shoujo has a striking difference encapsulated through the romantic expression the show uses. Many chapters try to develop the establish bond between the male and  read more

Both are pretty funny and cute high school romcoms with generally likable main and side characters.

Romance between main characters, light-hearted, and somewhat raunchy humor (mostly Senryuu). While Senryuu is focused on poems similar (senryuu) that are similar to haikus. Gekkan Shoujo is focused on Nozaki finding ideas for his shoujo manga and his everyday life and interactions between his friends.

The gimmick is pretty similar, though both mangas have their own personality. But they share the fluffiness, the comedy and the amazing chemistry between the main duo.

The wholesome, light-hearted feel that you get from reading Senryuu Shoujo can also be found in Giji Harem. Though the chapters are significantly shorter in Giji, the two both have female leads that start off already having feelings for the male lead. The two FLs also have a certain quirk that make the character dynamics much more entertaining; in Giji, this is the FL's admirable acting ability. The two male leads are also surprisingly named Eiji, and the two FLs resemble each other at times. Both mangas are funny lightreads that I think any rom-com fan would enjoy.

Sora and Nanako are two high school girls who go through life at their own pace and make quirky observations about their surroundings and the people around them. They don't speak with other characters but instead communicate their thoughts through introspection, writing, and hand motions.

Both titles are very similar in that they depict a cute straight high school relationship dealing with a fantasy kind of disability. While Senryuu Shoujo has a girl with 5-7-5-based mutism, the boy in KanoKao is half-ghost and thus lacks a head. In both, the other side of the relationship is very energetic and seeing the best in the other's situation, while everyone around them goes with the flow of their limitations and peculiarities and just have nice dynamics together. If you like Senryuu Girl but want something more wrapped up and focused, go for KanoKao, as the relationship is stabilished in the first two chapters  read more

Both titles are in 4-Koma style. Although the protagonists are the total opposite, the comedy style, setting, and even character setup (2 girls 1 boy) are similar. Both have similar premise: "girl trying to make her feelings known to the boy, while the rest of their friends cheer on them"
