After reading the synopsis I was hesitant in reading this manga. I'm not fond of harems.
But after 5 chapters it blew me away. The absurd levels of romantic complications made it so funny and entertaining I read it whole in a few hours. This isn't just a love square, EVERYONE is involved..
The ending was the most surprising. I'd reached chapter 40/42 and it seemed like nothing was going to be resolved. But it was, and pretty well at that. Good stuff.

Story I give a good 9-10/10. It's a simple harem premise but then goes into such complicated detective mindfuckery Sherlock and Mystery Inc. combined couldn't ... manage. At points they completely lost me but in the end everything clicked into place and towards the end I started to think similarly so I already solved a problem or two in my head (this only added to the experience).
I'm not giving it a pure 10/10 only because some scenes and jokes still flew over my head (I wouldn't blame it on japanese language puns, the translation I read explained them all).

Characters are pretty good. They're not complicated until you learn their motivations which are so insanely complex and just build themselves up throughout the manga that you totally forget all of them are basically tropes (the bland MC, sporty friend, stuck up student council president etc.)
A solid 8.5/10. They were all awesome but apart from their motivations nothing was explored so it made them just a bit lees than they could be.

I have no complaints with the art. It's solid, 7/10.


I highly recommend this manga and don't let the generic synopsis deceive you. It has ploys and mysteries so deep you often won't realise them until they're resolved. A delight to read, I'll definitely reread it some time to see if I understand more of it.

This is just a funny romcom with complication stacked upon complication that follows a basic formula, that formula being "how reasonably absurd can we make this situation?" It's a fun read and at 44 chapters, a relatively short one. It's an excellent, light-hearted way to pass an afternoon.

The story starts with our protagonist, Joro, trying to get a girlfriend. He is a bit selfish in his motivation, and plans rather deeply to try to accomplish his goal, but those plans end up torpedoed pretty quickly. Even so, he is also quite genuine with his friendships, as proven by the keystone event which set the ... ball rolling for this entire thing. I'll not spoil the keystone event, but needless to say, after his initially selfish motivations are exposed, he is ostracized and ends up hanging out with the girl who provides this manga its name. From there, Joro puts in a lot of work, balancing his own ambivalence with the ongoing character development... as well as the aforementioned formula of absurdity.

The artwork is quite good, all the female characters are beautiful or cute, depending on their innate characteristics. The fan service is not constant, but when it arrives, it feels like an excellent pay off to the various antics and story arcs. The premise could be carried on for quite some time, but it wraps up well short of when the reader would get tired of reading it. Read it and enjoy the laughs is my recommendation.

I do not understand this manga at all, or how anyone could get enjoyment out of this. My first thought from chapter one was that the MC was a complete scum bag. But as the story, if you can call it that, continued, I grew more and more frustrated. The MC is supposed to be unlikable, but then everyone likes him, and tries to cheer him up and tell him he's better than he thinks he is...

Let me explain my frustration a bit more.

At the beginning of this manga the MC is shown to have have two girls that are close to him, a ... childhood friend and the student council president. The MC has a plan to try and get these two girls to fall in love with him so he can have a harem. This backfires on him when these two girls tell him that they love not the MC but his best friend. So MC gets depressed and shocked about this, but decides he will help these two girls because if they fail to have the best friend fall in love with them, then he can go and get the other girl. Complete scumbag move, but then his secret is revealed by another girl in the library who demands the MC follow her commands otherwise she'll spill his secret. Because shocker this library girl is in love with the MC, for reasons? Long story short this library girl becomes the main girl that our MC falls for, only because she reveals that she has large breasts hidden under wrappings. But before that his secret does get revealed and the two girls and his best friend come to hate him. But then he makes up with them. But then the two girls start to actually fall in love with him? And there's also a a bit of weird relationship tension between the best friend character and the MC? I honestly couldn't grasp at all what this story was trying to do, and even when it started to make sense a new "plot twist" would enter the fray that doesn't make any sense at all and drag the story out for another 20 chapters. Like another girl coming out of nowhere with the hots for MC and mixing up everything to try and win his favor over the other girls. This happens three to four times after his secret gets revealed... I just don't get it. I couldn't tell if the story was trying to be a secret conspiracy kind of story that reveals all of the cards at the end or what. I legit thought that the library girl was gonna reveal that she was someone from the MC's past and she was doing all of this to get revenge on MC for some reason. But I guess no, the things that are supposed to look like secrets and lies are the truth and the truth is just as dumb as you think it is. And this doesn't even begin to cover every dumb thing that happens in this manga.

To the people who enjoyed this manga, congrats. For me I couldn't stand this horrible manga at all, and honestly should have dropped it and kinda regret not doing so. But my morbid curiosity wouldn't let it go especially since I saw that this manga finished at only 44 chapters, so I read it.
