The time periods and story lines are different, but both of the heroines are from prestigious families that have enormous power, and are expected to become proper women that their family would be proud of. In the story, there are arranged marriages, although the situations are different, but the one she loves may not be the person her entire family approves of. Also, as you read, you may see that a couple of the side characters' situations are similar as well.

The story lines are different, but both manga take place in an old-fashioned medieval-esque time period where there are princess and princesses within different kingdoms. In both stories, the heroine are of different social status, with one being poor and one being a princess of a prestigious country. They both meet guys, who happen to be princes, and a love develops, although Shirayuki is more of a slow love. Both loves are innocent and they both face the obstacles of opposition of their relationship and other guys or women who want to get in the way.

Both princesses have lived a very sheltered life in the castle and wish to explore their surrounding. In Himitsu she wants to meet her betrothed, in Himegimi she wants to travel and learn more abut her kingdom and her subjects.

Circumstances of both manga are similar. Both are cute and nice, tho Reimei no Arcana has more depth.
