Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are seasons wherein we enjoy different things on different times, different places with different people. Seasons for most of us basically means changes in time. But for Kazushi and Harutomo, these seasons gives them a feeling of love and it is something to give importance of.

Aishiteru is another yaoi manga which got me interested because it didn’t have a girly uke. The cover gives off a harmonious atmosphere. And with that, I started clicking the pages away.

Kazushi is an elite workaholic businessman while his lover, Harutomo is a part time cleaner in the same company, who has a potential in ... cooking and dreams to become a chef someday. The story concentrates on the development of their feelings and attraction towards each other. There were no serious conflicts, third parties and such. It brings nothing new to the table and is easier to read.

In terms of art, I found nothing special except that the art suits the flow of the story. Nothing more, nothing less. I liked how Fujitani Youko mixed the feel of the seasons in it. It follows the footfalls of the changes of seasons, but again as to what I have said earlier, she focuses on the characters. The seasons just spices up the story itself.

I can’t say that there were huge character developments, the author didn’t dig up the past of any characters or gave big complications in it. It’s more of realizing goals and the desire to love a person just because he is what he is. It also claims that distance makes one’s relationship more stronger.

Aishiteru is just another story that deviates from other mangas that revolves just with lust. It’s right up in my alley and for those who seek a calmness in a read, this is definitely recommendable.

Well, this certainly was a cute Manga, and pretty uncomplicated.

A bit too uncomplicated...
Compared to all the other Manga I've ever read (yaoi or not) this was probably the one with the least drama in it - wich normally wouldn't bother me if there was something else that kept the story going.
But it is neither very funny nor deep, it's not annyoing but also not heartwrenching, To me this story could be described as fluffy, but a bit boring.

The story, which was the thing that bothered me the most, is about a couple - a workaholic but friendly and successful Elite(?) and a cute, easy going ... cleaner who wants to become a chef.

Harutomo, the cleaner, appreciates the seasons very much and thanks to him so does Kazushi, the elite.
Kazushi has to go to America because of work and misses Harutomo, but shortly before he was going to return to Japan Harutomo gets an asignment in a hotel in America to work as a chef - yay.

Unfortunatly, this passage of the Manga was so undramatic (sorry, does that word even exist -.-') that it was almost anticlimatic... I thought that something finally happened, but it was covered in no time.

Kazushi's family adores Harutomo.
Harutomo has some problems with his sister, a distanced realytionship, but they planned to talk to her in the last few pages.

Yeah, it was kinda cute, but --- maybe it's because it was so short, but it feels to me like a filler of some other Manga...

Of course it's annoying if the whole story consists of one dramatic turn after the other (Oh my god, my mother died, my dad drinks, my brother hates me......... woe is me ;))
But I guess both extremes aren't really my thing.


It's a nice, quick read and if you like cute, fluffy relationships, you should defenitly try this out.
Don't expect too much and just let the warm feelings take over ;))

In all honesty, I was, personally, not very impressed with this manga. There was a severe lack of conflict, both internal and external, and the plot was as basic as it could have been without being completely senseless. That being said, it is an extremely fluffy type of story, and the art is pleasing to the eye. If you are searching for a manga with a very simple story, impressive art, and decent sex scenes, then I would recommend reading Aishiteru over, especially since it is so short. Although I personally did not care much for it because I prefer a little more complexity to ... a plot when I am reading over a manga, Aishiteru offers a "breath of fresh air", in a sense, as it does not seem to aim to elicit any particularly strong or taxing emotions in the reader--only a sense of, "Aw, that couple is cute and compatible!"

This was by far one of the purest yaoi stories I've ever read while keeping good yaoi scenes *cough* *cough*. It was excellent, a good storyline, the art was great, character build up was perfect, I enjoyed it. You didn't have that feeling of a damsel in distress while watching this but this yaoi manga makes you feel good in the heart not only in some "other places". This was outstanding. Oh my god it was a MASTERPEICE, i dont care what anyone says.
