It's always the best feeling when a manga can defy the odds of being terrible based on the synopsis. Rokudou no Onna-tachi actually has a quite a unique set up, but the concept is so bizarre that I thought it would just fall into a bottom of the barrel type harem trash. Fortunately, even from the beginning, the depth of the characters and camaraderie shown really project a very wholesome story of a kid just trying to live in peace. This was the biggest surprise, how much character development each character receives. Of course, not all character development is created equal, some are very shallow ... and pass the bare minimum, while others like Iinuma, Rokudou, and several antagonists receive plenty. What keeps it interesting is each character's interactions and there are nice comedy bits spread throughout the manga. I would've preferred more of it, but I can understand why it wasn't the case.

It took a long time for the manga to have a clear direction, but everything leading up to it serves as a prerequisite to where it ultimately will end up. Keeping it vague so I don't spoil, but it will lead to more character development for MC and several others. Each arc thus far has been solid, nothing too crazy, nothing too dumbed down, but they were all over the top. Looking for reason and logic in your fight scenes? You should look somewhere else probably, since this has a lot of friendship is the best power. As I stated before, it is a very wholesome series with slight dark undertone at certain points of the story, but generally is a very happy go lucky series.

The characters are outstanding. Rokudou as a harem MC doesn't stagnate and is always progressing, albeit a little slow, but very fast as of the chapter read at the time of this write up (128). The surrounding cast is excellent and continue to grow along with our MC, at an even faster pace. The relationships between everyone is unpredictable since it's a story about delinquents, twists and turns are abundant in this. Colonel, Kachou, and Iinuma are some of the best bros I've seen in anime/manga, and they get a lot of screen time which makes the main group we follow a really compelling story. The girls also get good character development, but most of them are shallow. This is by far the strongest point of the manga.

Hard to imagine with a synopsis of MC getting a power to attract girls that a story with depth can be written. Gotta say, this is one of those diamonds in the rough and can rival some of the best series with school settings. Although I'm not in love with the art and where the story is going, the rare slice of life bits mixed with the harsh points in the story create a very well balanced dynamic. It lets the reader enjoy the pureness of the characters while anxiously waiting for a moment for them to kick ass.

Who knew delinquent girls can be so great?

Well, what else to say about this manga that hasn't being said.

At first, it might look like yet another school harem about some teen that gets a new power and wins battles with his friendship power and gets lots of lucky perv-ish shots for some extra fanservice. I am more than happy to say that this is not the case.

Rokudou No Onnatachi is a manga that was a breeze of fresh air in the manga industry that was lacking in the last couple of years with bland and repetitive narratives, bringing a protagonist that actually cares about the people surrounding him and their happiness, ... while also maturing during the 233 chapters.

The art looks not great at the first 40ish chapters but certainly by the 200th or so chapter it becomes more refined and elegant while also being perfectly energetic and fitting for the style the serie was going for.

Great manga, it's impossible not to recommend, even thought to date, the last 10 chapters are not yet translated to english.

Story 7 -

This manga is about a guy who uses a scroll from his grandpa to give him the power to combat demons in an attempt to survive a delinquent school, however instead this gives him the magical ability to charm all delinquent girls to fall madly in love with him. Ok so the story is not the best, but there is one reason i find this story great: Its like a Tsundere story that isn't complete ass mixed with Yandere harem, like every girl in this harem is a badass in some way but you ... don't get the stupid slapstick because the girls are threatening enough that you don't need it, though it could blow it in the future, but for now its fun.

Art 8 -

I like the art it has dark styles, and it can be weirdly cute or sexy whilst also being threatening, and its not A-1 style, and not drawn in MS paint its great moving on.

Character - 6

Eh seen worse but its pretty bland but does the job with some good reactions, i especially like one of the friends the MC makes later its a fun friendship they have.

Enjoyment - 8

You read this for the fun scary faced demon women, and stay for some of the sap, its fun, and doesn't go too weird without purpose, or hentai-esc just for some cheap attempt at fan service.

Overall - 8

I think this series has some potential, and i could see some cool future arcs with supernatural stuff coming in without it being forced assuming its not axed, give it a read, and you might enjoy this.

Let's be real here. This is a super trashy manga that pretty much fails at everything it does.

The premise is clearly meant to be a harem manga, but since they presented the unique girl at the begining it can only pretend to be for a few pages now and then. All new girls will be forgotten and the magic effect goes away when they are needed for something else. As a romantic comedy it has no romantic development, 120 chapters in it's still having flashbacks to the first arc becuase nothing really changed. I think the better arcs take from yankee manga, the battle by ... stages and gritting your teeth for your friends, but putting it next to Crows is a joke. Then you have the diverse female cast, the only ecchi moment happens during the loan shark arc around chapter 80 and you can tell it's not more common because anatomy isn't a strong point. All the girls look like cheap dolls with tiny arms and legs for a torso where the "sexy parts" are crammed together with no kind of sexual impact, much less body variety to take advantage of having multiple characters. I guess some people might like that the characters aren't particularly thin but they don't look good enough to tell if they're supposed to be that way (they're not according to dialogue). I think the most bizarre character design is the loli bancho with the worst limbs, and the biker girl gets the prize for looking generic enough to pass as a manga character. The comedy is the basic giving each character a gimmick and they repeat it every now and then, adding new characters to do the same but with a different gimmick. All of them really weak and with no depth (compared to something like Komi-san, not the peak of intelectual story telling either).

But I read 129 chapters, it's trashy enough to lend itself to binging and I guess it did a kung fu arc better than Blamo. If you want to waste your time it's decent enough

This has got to be one of the most unluckiest harem there is.

The entire story is pretty good without and real complaints besides maybe personal preferences( Get to this later)

8/10 on the art style. It took some getting used too but i found myself starting to like it. The character designs them self are good except maybe one.

The only character design i don't really like all that much is Himawari's design. It isn't bad but when i compare it to others she's just not that great looking. At times she can look kind of chubby and it's just weird when every other ... character besides one is all skinny. She is a funny character to have on screen.

Now i have three issues that i tie down to personal preferences are.

1. The only reason this harem begins is because some type of magic thing on the MC's head makes him attractive to all the bad girls. Characters such as Himawari wouldn't have fallen in love with him if it wasn't for that. So they are kind of getting forced into being in love .

2. I have this issue with all decent and good stories involving harems. It's that while there are tons of girls. You are bound to like one of them over the other and want the MC to get with that girl. Most harems also never even have the MC choose who to fall in love with . Although it's too early for me to decide whether it's gonna be like that in this story.

3. There are a couple side characters just forgotten really that i feel could've been used better. Such as the Class President who is one of the only normal people in class . She has a crush a the MC but all through out she is kind of picked on and it can be kind of annoying to see constantly.

4. While later on they aren't so bad. The MC's friends were kind of annoying early on. Especially the fat kid. But later on the skinny friend actually becomes kind of a nice character.

I think i had a couple other issues that kind of bugged me but they're aren't coming up.

Overall fun story to read.

A great painter can make a masterpiece out of anything. This is essentially what Nakamura Yuuji has done with this manga. It blends elements of a harem anime, slice of life, battle shounen, and gag manga into an absolutely beautiful story. Its opening is basically that of a gag manga, with the mystery of the supernatural situation completely undercut by the humor, then quickly shapes up to be a plain old harem manga, BUT NO! The main character, the titular Rokudou, will not allow it! In a completely character-driven plot twist, rather than live it large with his new harem of fiercely loyal delinquent girls, ... he instead determines to use his power for good, to achieve his dream of a peaceful high school life.

This is basically the extent of the plot. It isn't very deep, but it does not suffer for that in the least. Instead, it shines brilliantly through the amazing canvas painted by the diverse and genuinely interesting cast. EVERYONE gets character development in this series, even the background flunkies to some extent, and it just feels so natural. Nakamura uses the tools he is given, and manipulates them in an absolutely masterful way to create a truly engaging story. At multiple points I have remarked aloud to my friends just how much better this manga is than I keep expecting. It's better than it has any right to be, frankly.

The ONLY way in which I would say this series suffers is the art. It isn't bad, but it definitely isn't high-quality either. It's just passable.

So my number score for this series is as follows:
Story: 8 - This manga doesn't really have a story per se. The only overarching plot is Rokudou making the school a nice place, and the main focus of each arc is generally detached from it. These individual arcs are wonderful, however, and so net it an overall very good score. The last few chapters (I'm currently on 288) have finally presented a more concrete overarching goal, which also contributes to the score, but prior to that, it's mainly propped up by the characters.
Art: 6 - It's not bad, but it isn't anything special either.
Character: 10 - An absolute solid 10 in this department. Everyone gets an arc, and every arc is resolved in a satisfying way. Really, truly great.
Enjoyment: 10 - I have to admit I am a little biased here, though. I have a thing for strong girls, and this manga is chock full of them. I also have a thing for making interesting stories out of a premise that is in some way gratuitous, and this manga definitely, certainly does that.
Overall: 9 - I can't say it's my favorite manga of all time, but it's definitely very high quality. I would give it a 10, but I'm too conscious of my own aforementioned bias to do that. So a 9 it is.

Here it goes,my first review.

When i first encountered this manga,i judged it really soon and reckoned that it would be just like other cliche harem stories(with a wimpy male protagonist,flashing panties and so on.),but it proved me wrong and i am glad for it.
Story:
It's really enjoyable so far,and i am always looking forward to the next chapter.The whole idea of having bad girls fall for the main charachter is kinda rare in my opinion and therefore,it creates unusual and fun situations which also contribute to the plot little by little.The story arcs are handled well without dragging the story or anything,with proper conclusions.
Art:
The artstyle is ... quite novel,unlike other mangas.At first it is hard to get used to it,but later you''ll like it a lot.
One of the best things about the artstyle is the portrayal of face expression,as they're really unusual and funny.
And this artstyle proves itself during the fights,as such moments are depicted with lots of emotions and details.
Character:
Probably the best parts of this manga are the characters.As the story progresses,the main character matures and becomes stronger and inspirational(although not physically but mentally).i wouldn't want to spoil anything,so i ''ll make it brief.The side characters receive an abundant amount of development and significance as the plot progresses,so watching them mature is also handled well by the author.
Enjoyment:
This would be easy to elaborate,since i am satisfied with my overall experience(as it doesn't get tedious later) and looking forward to consequent releases.

Vi o anime, me diverti muito e fui pro mangá e cara, que sensacional. Muitas lições, muitas histórias, arte linda quando precisava, a maneira que a história avança, amei completamente. Fazia tempo que não ria tanto.
O protgonista é muito legal, mesmo ele parecendo o mesmo de sempre de todos os mangás, e ele até é, ele te cativa e você se diverte junto dos seus amigos, além trazer muitas lições de vida e desenvolver muito bem os personagens. A sumire raino, ling lan e a minami são as melhores.

I saw the anime, I had a lot of fun and I went to the manga and man, how amazing. Lots of lessons, lots of stories, the art was beautiful when it needed to be, the way the story progresses, I completely loved it. I haven't laughed so much in a while.
The protagonist is very cool, even though he looks the same as he always does in all the manga, and he really is, he captivates you and you have fun with your friends, in addition to bringing many life lessons and developing the characters very well. sumire raino, ling lan and minami are the best
