Both center on the relationship between two high schoolers who share a connection they hide from those around them. Both have very realistic, relatable characters/plots, and very like-able protagonists. While Sasaki is in many ways polar opposites with Miyamura, both have similar journeys when it comes to realizing their feelings. Both stories have colorful supporting cast, although Horimiya expands on side characters much more than Sasaki to Miyano. They're sweet, they're funny, they're stunning. If you like one, give the other a look.

Both shows are lighthearted, slow burn romances, with the a single activity drawing them together, Music with Given, BL manga with Sasaki to Miyano.

Both about two high school boys bonding over a specific media type (instead of bl manga- it is movies). This bond leads to one of them falling for the mc, but can’t exactly describe why- “I just like you”. Definitely give this a read if you are a Sasaki to Miyano fan, very similar vibe.

If you didn't know, ther's a spin-off of Sasamiya called Hirano to Kagiura. Both are by the same mangaka so the story and characters are written in a similar kind of sense. (Many characters appear in both series'!) I really recommend reading Hirano to Kagiura if you can't get enough of Sasamiya, or if you just like really sweet, fluffy high-school romances that have a cozy feel.

Both are wholesome, heartwarming, and comedic love stories. The humor is similar, and both involve themes of otaku and fudanshi/fujoshi. While Wotakoi shows a girl who is a BL fanatic in a relationship with a boy, whereas Sasaki and Miyano is an actual BL showing a boy-boy relationship. If you're like me and decided to get into BL after reading Wotakoi, Sasaki and Miyano is a great place to start. :)

Both series are wholesome highschool BL utterly devoid of the typical assault and abuse so prevalent in the genre. Sasaki & Miyano is a bit slower-paced than Koisuru App, but both romances are quite sweet and affectionate. Very much mutual-pining and slow-burn (a rarity in BL).

Two pretty different yet similar boys love mangas. Sasamiya centres more in the romance while NxN has smut since they are already a couple. Both of these mangas break stereotypes & are pretty cute with not so much drama.

A guy suddenly pushed into the world of BL bc of someone who's a fan of the genre. And instead of being disgusted, he open-mindedly accepts it as an acceptable taste that some people have.

Both use plotlines of characters being into BL manga. They're both pretty cute stories but Sasaki to Miyano is more of a love story while Fudanshi Kazoku is more of a comedy.

The main characters connect over reading BL manga. One character introduces the other who also grows to love it, and they continue to explore the genre together. The biggest difference is that Sasaki and Miyano is a romance story, while BL Metamorphosis is more focused on a friendship.

Both main character falls In love with with an otaku (mainly are into BL) but the main characters don’t really understand what fujoshi means. That doesn’t stop them from wanting to date them. I think their fun reads about a nerd and someone who’s not so nerdy. Main character accepts who they are.

They are both slice of life at school. They both have a HEALTHY relationship. The aura is so similar I always mix them up.

Light on plot, heavy on good feelings. Both have cute-boys-doing-cute-things, getting embarrassed and supporting each other. StM is a school romance BL first, so it has a bit more there.

Similar themes in both manga: # A closeted fudanshi # The fudanshi is the uke # He has BL fantasies in the real world # An open minded seme who doesn't mind him being a fuda # The seme makes the uke realize that he's actually bi.
reportRecommended by -Sonal-
Both manga have a uke who, due to his timid frame and feminine appearance, is often teased about it.. He's annoyed by not being "manly" enough (sexist, I know), but the seme helps him realize that the uke is "manly" enough, according to him, by loving him for who he is. Also, the seme is the one who falls first for the uke, and he's very loving and respectful of the uke's feelings.

Both are gay And they also follow a similar patterns in writing. Main characters of both stories are pretty similar to each other as are their romances. Both are super wholesome and HEALTHY relationships. Read it if you are tired of unhealthy gay or lesbian relationships in other manga.
