Both protagonists are orphaned assassins that work for an organization but then eventually leave their organization and join the side of good. Both manga also have the same art style because it's by the same author.

A supernatural twist into Japan's history. Sengoku Armors is more accurate while Yamato Gensouki is just period fantasy, but both have cool weapons and similar guy-protect-girl story.

Supernatural but historical based. Akaboshi is set in China warring period while Yamato on Japan, but they have cool weapons and great fightings.

Near the end of Yamato, it felt very very similar to bleach, spirit swords, inner awakenings. Too bad Yamato was cut way short =/
