Preliminary (133/380 chp)
tl:dr on bottom

I always have a feeling that this manga is wearing a mask. It's a slice of life harem manga that doesn't feel like a harem manga, but definitely is one. Let me explain:

The story is about a highschooler named Daisuke that gets roped into the "Mystery Research Club" that looks into magic, the occult and hypnotism (one for each of the main girls). Within the club, they get into random situations that usually consist of the girls experimenting with Daisuke or testing out one of their individual "mysteries". I agree with GGShang's assessment of this manga. It's a comedic slice of life series with a bit of romantic comedy / harem thrown in, but it's mostly about friends hanging out exploring "mysteries" whether of the supernatural, scientific, or science-related kind, such as hypnotism or optical illusions such as stage magic. "Sometimes, the simplest stories bring the most joy" - that's Atsumare in a nutshell.

This manga was my weekly dose of humor for years, and it never failed to put a grin on my face.

Masahiro Anbe, the author, masterfully blends comedy and slice of life, creating a delightful and engaging experience. Each character is distinct and likable, adding their unique flavor to the story.

I wouldn't recommend binge-reading this manga, enjoying a few chapters at a time is the best way to savor its charm. My only gripe? This deserved an anime adaptation. Seriously, how did this gem slip under the radar?

If you're looking for a lengthy ...

Mixed Feelings
So I haven't left a review on anything in ages. I just haven't felt like giving my thoughts on anything I've read or seen. This manga was very interesting to read. It doesn't really have a story but it does? I mean there really aren't any arcs. Basically one chapter stuff happens and it ends in the same chapter. But references are made to things that happened in past chapters. I would suggest this manga if you are just bored and don't really have anything to do. There are a lot of cute moments but it takes a bit for it to really happen. I'm ...
