Can be used as a reference sheet for newcomers to the manga industry. For anyone interested in what graced the pages of the world's biggest manga magazine. These are all some pretty good shounen manga! Some of these are pretty popular while others are pretty niche but I decided that as long as it’s shounen, I’ve read the manga and liked it, I added it to the list. That means there are fantasy series, delinquent series, isekai, sports manga, and etc. I hope you find something interesting to read in here! Have a blast! Weekly Shounen Jump Series that I wish would get an English translation. This list is derived from The Anime Man's "The OFFICIAL Top 100 Manga Of All Time (According To The Internet) Is Actually Surprising..." video. The video goes over the results of an online poll that he created in which people could vote for their favorite manga series. I am a lover of delinquent and yankee themed manga, but sometimes you don't want the entire story to revolve around mindless fights. Sometimes you're looking for some romance, maybe a bit of slice of life, a coming of age story, who knows! Maybe you're just looking for something funny! (Pretend that Harukana Receive is Bushizawa Receive, because I couldn't find that here, so I just picked a manga that looked the closest in name) I finished the anime, most likely it didn't cover the entire manga. Time to remedy that. Also includes sequels. Manga/Manhwa/Manhua with main characters that either have autism or are characters that could be autistic. Autistic coded characters that aren’t specifically expressed as autistic in the series count as well. Obviously, there are manga that don’t go in depth about autism as that’s extremely rare in manga and anime however I chose stories where I think it’s clear that the characters are on the spectrum, or could be. Every autistic character is different, in no way are any of these stories a clear cut example of every autistic person and if there is bad behavior, I’m not excusing it because they are autistic. There are all types of people, including autistic people, and this list is just stating whether or not they fit the diagnosis in my head. (Currently updating descriptions and explanations) Waalex11's Recommendations of Popular Manga. I am trying to read more manga from different era's, so here is a list of JUMP manga from the 2000's. If you're interested as well take a look. Some older ones missing that I can't find on MAL: I've gone into MAL's database to find as many of these as I can, with some general criteria for making the list: |
