odd episode was odd.

first off, Zelgadis seems to have recovered and regained his composure after the 'USO DA! USO DA! USO DA!!!!!' moment he had from the previous episode. after such a shocking blow, to see him seemingly forget about it was strange.

there's also the issue with Ozel. I found her character to be much of an enigma that I half-expected her to have a more significant role in the series than just a keeper of the Hellmaster's jar. maybe I read too much into it but she could just be another of Rezo's experiments.

lastly, why exactly was Xellos playing around, even politely asking Ozel what she wanted to do with the jar when he could have forcibly taken it from her; he's more than capable of accomplishing that. from what the preview showed, Xellos seems to have duked it out with Rezo so I guess his goal is to find a way to resurrect the Shabranigdu shard without resurrecting Rezo in the process. @_@

I also think that the Xellos part with Ozel was quite weird.

I concur. I just sat there watching it go from plot device to plot device. It just wasn't all that interesting because there were too many things going on. Only two episodes left, and I just don't feel any resolve coming.

I'll just be glad to get a decent ending, I can't really hope for anything more with the way this season has been going.

Presumably, a Shabranigdu battle is imminent before a credits roll? I concur that Xellos' behaviour seemed inconsistant and odd, rather than mysterious.

It still unsettles me when unassuming Xellos opens his eyes. ;o; After rewatching the conversation between him and Ozzel, what is he doing? Those actions can't agree with his higher-ups.

Looks like the red priest is ready for (like a third?) showdown with Lina. These last few episodes are set up to be pretty good.

Next episode is Y? What am I going to do when I don't have anymore Slayers left to watch?

The plot is getting more and more interesting. It might seem strange for Xellos to do these things he does, but I'd like to think that he is at'least over 1000 years old and has seen a lot of things. Yes, he could take the jar by force, but it wouldn't be as interesting and would rather see how things play out. He is also extremely powerful so he is confident he can overcome any surprise, so it doesn't seem so stupid from another point of view.

The only thing bothered me about this episode was how Lina used the worst lines to convince Pokota not to resurrect Rezo: "You'll be forced to live inside an animals body for the rest of your live!" "Bitch please, I settled on that a long time ago."

She could have said something about the monster race being interested about the jar and Zuuma's arms that were made of monsters USING the jar? But no. At'least finally we will never see him bitching about Tafarashia...oh, the season ends in 2 episodes. FUUUUU!

Well it's looking more and more that my feelings in an earlier episode about where the plot may be going, is right on the money..... 2 Episodes left, means climax right? Let's hope it's a good fight.

I somehow expected Rezo to "kill" Ozzel. Now that he's back what is he going to do? Will he fight Lina again? And what is Xellos doing? Just observing?

If Pokota started attacking me after all the crap he pulled in the past, I would just've left him to Xellos. Also please don't tell me they have to fight Rezo again...

This anime is trash. Out of the three animes I disdain: Kampfer, The Promised Neverland (Because it bastardized the amazing manga) and Slayers Evolution-R, this takes the cake for all time bs. At least Revolution had sort of a reason for motivation, but here, green haired fur thing is just refusing to listen to others and being braindead.

Its unfortunate that this all comes down to an idiot plot where last episode Zelgadis had to act weirdly for drama reasons and now Pokota has to act super weirdly for pure drama reasons too. I've repeatedly complained about going back to Rezo as the arch villain but if they absolutely had to then this situation isn't totally without interest. Its just so rushed and pointlessly constructed when they could've had the characters act normally and still reached the same conclusion. This will probably be less of a weird mess of an ending than Evolution was but everything to get here was so bad.
