| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So much cat and mouse with Meng Ao and Lian Po, "anything you can do I can do better" but Meng Ao's obsession gives him the upper hand. He looks like a badass up there. Xin's new wound sure doesn't spell too well, but now that his back is against the wall he's gonna make something happen. | Nice ep showing Mougou's anti-Renpa stronghold. Next ep should finish Shin's fight with Rinko, the episode after that should pretty much bring the war to a close. After taking note of the pacing of this war, as well as knowing how huge the next war is, I totally understand why they put in the filler arc about Zheng's mother and that woman who saved him. If they didn't then they'd have to end the anime after the next war starts, better to do it before things get started. I am praying they don't pull out horrible animation for the coming episodes like they did a few episodes ago, man that was painful. They can afford to ditch good animation for the remaining 9 episodes if they really need to save money, just put it into the best parts of this war! |
| I like how the stronghold configuration changed. To use his own strengths against him was brilliantly played. I thought for sure the Wei army was going to reach the top during the episode... how will this play out now? Xin's wound surprised me -- not only did they leave on a cliffhanger, they actually showed what happened "up close". Then there was the horse head-butt...hehe. I still prefer the previous ending over this new one as it doesn't pack the same "impact" as the earlier one, IMHO. I do like the transitions from black&white to color and my wife quickly pointed out that Xin was wearing some new clothes and armor. She's still waiting for Xin's rags to disappear. lol |
| From the preview, seems like Lun Hu/Rinko still has difficulty killing Xin despite a stab to his thigh. Hmm can't wait for the next episode~ Edit: was it just my laptop or the poll really shows 6 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5? o.o |

| the way shifting from war to another is great. i'm really astounded from meng ao's head, his cat and mouse battle with lang pao couldn't have been better without him lol. shin is in deep trouble as usual. |
